Elemental Prayers: Overview Create a sacred space to do the Elemental Prayers. I sit on a beautiful fourelement rug to give me a sense of my container. You can sit on a special blanket or draw a circle using yarn or create a circle of rocks or candles or... Be creative! Set up your container first, then invite the elements in to play! Make the surrounding ritual for your practice, like your sacred space, sweet and meaningful to your life. Light a candle or incense, start with a favorite mantra, or dance wildly before you start. What will most inspire you for your day? I like to shake a rattle before each prayer, and sound a bell after each prayer. The rattle clears my thoughts and brings me present, the bell is a beautiful affirmation to the universe. Pick some sound to mark the transition between prayers for you; this can be a word, a singing blow, a clap... Take a breathe between each line and anchor the feelings/visualizations in your being. Over time you will not need to pause between lines. With practice, the moment you say the words you will evoke the state you are calling and feel them completely. All prayers can be tired, rote blah blahs, or alive and transformative openings to Divine guidance, whether we have said them once or a million times. Each new sentence gives you the opportunity to infuse the energy you want to create within the words. ELEMENT OF ; Visualize the element. Take a deep breathe. Honor the element in your life. I INVITE YOU TO JOIN THIS SACRED CIRCLE. Feel the circle you are sitting in, and imagine drawing the essence of the element towards you. MAY YOU ALLY WITH ME AS I ALLY WITH YOU. What does being an ally mean? Feel this in your being. THROUGH MY AWARENESS AND RESPECT. Feel your awareness and respect. What are you committing to in your life by increasing your awareness and respect? What would your life look like with more awareness and respect?
POWER OF QUALITIES OF THE ELEMENTS, Feel the strength of the different aspects of each of the elements. From breath to PLEASE ANSWER MY PRAYERS. Open and ask for support and guidance. Feel your desire for help! Put this energy into your words. REMOVE ELEMENTAL OBSTACLES Notice how these energy-draining qualities are held in your body. Be willing to release them. Witness the fear and obstacles and create space around them for a shift. AND INFUSE MY BEING WITH THE ESSENCE OF. Feel into yourself and ask, what is the essence of this element? What is the core gift of this element for me? BLESS ME WITH THE WISDOM OF. Savor this gift; even if you cannot embody it 100 percent today, imagine a time when you did feel this energy-giving quality in your life. Ask to be supported and held in finding this state for yourself in each moment. DIRECT MY ATTENTION TO MY CORE INTEGRITY What does core integrity mean to you? Find a place where you felt completely in your integrity. Call this in. Ask for support clearing up the places you are not in your core integrity, and returning to your truth. AND GROUND ME IN FAITH BETWEEN EARTH AND SKY. What would it feel to be grounded in faith between earth and sky? Allow yourself to be a child, held between your mother earth and father sky. Pause to allow yourself to feel your faith, even if it is tiny or happened a long time ago. Call it in here, remind your being of what faith is. BALANCING YOUR ELEMENT WITHIN ME Open yourself to allowing air and your mind to realign themselves with the rest of the elements and aspects of your being. You do not need to understand it or know it is working. Let nature do what nature does best within you! There is a much greater intelligence at work in the universe that you can be available for.
HELP ME KNOW THAT I AM WHOLE. Feel your own wholeness. Pray that you move beyond your own self-doubt and sense of incompleteness to a KNOWING of your pure angel complete perfect now being of light self. Yes! When used with intent, the Elemental Prayers will bring you clarity and deep peace. To get the most benefit, it is best to not only say the words, but also FEEL them. Link the words with the feeling state in your body. This way when you ask for clear perception, you become clear perception. When you speak of your core integrity, you find within your being: what does my core integrity feel like? Keep practicing! What at first may feel stiff or mental will over time begin to flow with energy. Use this prayer each day to feed you and align you with the sacredness of air and the highest expression of your mind. To use these prayers as a tool create five cards, one for each of the elements. On one side of the card write or type out the prayer; on the other side you can do artwork, paste photographs, etc to represent the element and its qualities. Then you can place your cards around your sacred circle when you do the prayers, and turn and face each direction. Be creative!
