You must complete all steps of this form. Step 1: AccessNI Enhanced Disclosure Check online form In all cases where an Enhanced Disclosure Check (EDC) is required, substitute teachers are responsible for payment of the full 33 cost involved. Instructions 1. Go to web address https://accessni.nidirect.gov.uk/customer/account/ to complete the online AccessNI Enhanced Disclosure Check. 2. Follow AccessNI online instructions to Create an account or Log in if you already have an account created. 3. Once you have successfully logged in, you will be taken to the on-line application. 4. Enter the 6 digit PIN number 631007 at Step 1 of the online form. This PIN can only be used in relation to NISTR applications. 5. Complete the remainder of the form and click on confirm and proceed to finish the online process. 6. You must enter the 10 digit AccessNI reference provided on the confirmation page or confirmation email in the boxes below. Application Reference 7. Make the Enhanced Disclosure Check payment of 33 to the Education Authority, Belfast Region. Payment can be made by cheque, postal order, bankers draft or by calling to the address below. Step 2: EDC Applicant Consent The Disclosure and Barring Service maintains lists of individuals who are barred from engaging in regulated activity 2 with children or vulnerable adults. All posts necessitating an AccessNI Enhanced check, with the exception of supervised volunteers*, include a check of the Barred Lists. It is an offence for an individual on the Barred Lists, or is the subject of a disqualification order from the courts, to apply for, offer to do, accept or do any work, paid or unpaid, in regulated activity. Anyone convicted of this offence is liable to punishment by imprisonment or fines or both. Step 3: Identity Validation Proof of eligibility to work in the United Kingdom Under Section 8 of the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996, a check must be carried out of all potential employees eligibility to work in the United Kingdom (UK). One document from List 1 must be provided as proof of eligibility to work in the UK. If you cannot provide one of these listed documents, please contact NISTR Administration. Where appropriate this document can also be used in Step 2. List 1 A passport showing that the holder is a British citizen or has the right of abode in the United Kingdom A document showing that the holder is a national of a European Economic Area Country* or Switzerland. A residence permit issued by the Home Office to a national from a European Economic Area Country* or Switzerland. A passport or other document issued by the Home Office which has an endorsement stating that the holder has a current right of residence in the United Kingdom as the family member of a national from a European Economic Area Country* or Switzerland. A passport or other travel document endorsed to show that the holder can stay in the United Kingdom or has no time limit on their stay. A passport or other travel document endorsed to show that the holder can stay in the United Kingdom; and that this endorsement allows the holder to do the type of work offered if they do not have a work permit.
