GUIDELINES: GTE PROCESS FOR UC AGENTS FOR ASSESSMENT LEVEL 3 COUNTRIES (Except China) The University of Canberra GTE Form The Genuine Temporary Entry Form (GTE Form) is a tool that UC requires agents to use in order to undertake the required assessment of each prospective international student as a Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE). Instructions for completion of the GTE Form and Financial Capacity Documentation Agent must: 1. Complete the student s details and all the questions, during an interview with the prospective international student 2. Request copies of financial capacity documentation from all students. Financial capacity documents should be submitted at the time of acceptance from AL 3 countries. CoE s will not be issued without evidence of financial capacity. Financial capacity documents should be certified by agents as true copies of the original document 3. Sign and date this GTE Form 4. Submit the completed and signed GTE form with the student s application form to UCagents@canberra.edu.au if the student meets the GTE and GS requirements 5. Retain a copy of the completed and signed GTE form and all evidences of completion of the assessment on the student s file Please note: UC may conduct random audits of the Agents GTE assessment processes Agents must be aware that they are responsible for making a recommendation to UC, and that recruiting a student who does not satisfy the Visa requirements of the Australian Government, or a student who does not complete the nominated course regardless of reason and/or fails to return to his/her home country in accordance with his/her visa requirements may result in suspension or termination of the agent agreement with UC 1
