His time was more than a half-minute faster than his previous 8k personal best and just 21 seconds behind the leader. Of the 10 runners ahead of Fischer, four were coming off an appearance in the 2014 NCAA Championships and two earned All-America honors. MVC Female Cross Country Athlete of the Week Sienna Crews, Freshman, Lincoln City, Ind. - Evansville University of Evansville freshman Sienna Crews took top honors at the Austin Peay Cross Country Festival on Saturday to earn the first victory of her college career. Crews completed the 5K race in a time of 19:05.00, which was just eight seconds off of the course record. She overcame an extremely hilly course as well as rainy conditions to post a fast time and pick up the win. The Braves had three of the four finishers in the first collegiate event run at Donovan Park in Peoria. Other Top Performances Emma Huston, Drake Finished 43rd in the 243-runner field at the Roy Griak Invitational with a 6k time of 22:36.5 Her finish was nearly a two-minute improvement over her time at the meet a season ago more than half of the field consisted of runners from regionally ranked teams.
