Long Term & Short Term Cover BFS Protect offers the option of Short Term Income Protection, which provides the same cover as the Long Term plan but with a choice of benefit payment periods of 1, 2 and even 5 years. This can be very useful as it enables you to tailor benefits to your client s specific needs, as well as their budget. BFS Protect offers your client a greater choice and flexibility and the figures below show how it is possible to fit a plan to a client's budget. Example - A 30 year old, would like 1500 monthly cover with a deferred period of 4 weeks and a retirement age of 65.
