Cloud-based Wireless LAN for Enterprise, SMB, IT Service Providers and Carriers The Relay2 Smart Access Point (RA100) is an enterprise-class access point designed for deployment in high-density environments such as large offices, schools, hospitals, airports, and hotels that require premium performance. The 3x3 MIMO 802.11n Smart Access Point features three spacial streams and concurrent dual-band operation to deliver ultra-high throughput up to 900 Mbps and reliable coverage required by demanding bandwidth-intensive applications like voice and high-definition streaming video. The Relay2 Smart Access Point is easily managed through the Relay2 Enterprise Cloud Controller, which features an intuitive browser-based interface to enable rapid deployment without training or certification. The Relay2 Smart Access Point is selfconfiguring and managed over the web and can even be deployed at a remote location without on-site IT staff. The Relay2 Smart Access Point is monitored 24x7 from the Relay2 Enterprise Cloud Controller, which delivers real-time alerts if the network encounters problems. The Relay2 Smart Access Point s firmware is always kept up to date from the cloud. New features and enhancements are delivered automatically with no manual software updates to download or missing security patches. Product Highlights 3x3 802.11n MIMO with three spatial streams Up to 900 Mbps throughput 8 to 16 WLANs per AP Up to 250 clients per AP per WLAN Redundant and Load Balance Cloud Controller Plug-and-play, Self-configuring Integrated enterprise security and guest access Sleek, low profile design blends into office environment Optimized for voice and video AP Location Tracking for multisite deployment Client Device Reporting 1
Features Dual 3x3 MIMO 802.11n Radios, up to 900 Mbps The Relay2 Smart Access Point is a concurrent dualband, 3x3 MIMO enterprise access point with three spatial streams. This advanced radio technology enables the Relay2 Smart Access Point to provide up to 450 Mbps of throughput per radio and for a combined throughput of 900 Mbps per AP. Advanced technologies such as transmit beamforming and enhanced received sensitivity deliver extraordinary coverage and range, resulting in fewer APs deployed compared to typical access points. In addition, the Smart Access Point uses band steering to automatically serve 5 GHz-capable clients with the 5 GHz radio, maximizing capacity in the 2.4 GHz range for older 802.11 b/g clients. WLAN Client Traffic Control and Optimization The Relay2 Smart Access Point includes integrated layer 3 and 4 packet inspection, and client traffic blocking, enabling you better control of the WLAN. The integrated support of Wireless Multi Media (WMM) optimizes the performance of bandwidthsensitive voice and video applications on the WLAN. Integrated Enterprise Security and Guest Access The Relay2 Smart Access Point features integrated security technologies to provide secure connectivity for employees and guests. Advanced security features such as AES and WPA2-Enterprise authentication with 802.1X help protect enterprise and carrier WLAN access rights. Guest traffic isolation provides secure, Internet-only access for visitors. Integrated rogue AP detection helps secure the WLAN environment against possible attack. Self-configuring, self-optimizing When plugged in, the Relay2 Smart Access Point automatically discovers and connects to the Relay2 Enterprise Cloud Controller, downloads its configuration, and joins the appropriate network. It self optimizes, determines the ideal channel, transmit power, and client connection parameters. The Relay2 LBS (Location Based Service) technology together with integrated map display self-determines current AP location information to simplify site survey and AP tracking. Automatic Cloud-Based RF Optimization The Relay2 Smart Access Point automated RF optimization eliminates the need for dedicated hardware and wireless RF expertise to tune the wireless network. An integrated spectrum analyzer monitors the air space for neighboring WiFi devices and non-802.11 interference, such as microwave transmission and Bluetooth, and automatically tunes the Smart Access Point s channel selection, transmit power, and client connection settings for optimal performance even in challenging RF environments. 2
