02 Looooooooooong-life Our carpet tiles achieve the highest level of sustainability. All our products are tested by independent laboratories in accordance with the European EN 1307 standard. 03 Best wear resistance All our carpet tiles have the highest classifications class 32 or 33 for wear resistance for textile floorcovering. That means that they are extremely wear resistant. G4

04 Castor chair All our carpet tiles are tested for suitability for castor chairs. They are certified to the EN 986 standard, A intensive use, and can therefore also be used in demanding office environments. 05 European standard As required in all EU-countries, all our products are CE-certified. They even meet the strict requirements of the European EN 14041 standard. 06 Fire safety Our carpet tiles comply with the strictest European regulations R for fire safety. 10 CARE To recycle carpet tiles that have reached the end of their product life cycle, we started the CARE programme in January 2009, along with the Vanheede Environment Group. By converting 1 000 m² of old tiles into secondary fuel, we reduced CO 2 emissions by eight tonnes. 13 11 Quality certification For modulyss, quality is a top priority. We have had an ISO 9001 quality certificate for years. 12 REACH modulyss complies with the strict European REACH standards. minimum70 In October 2008, we became the first European manufacturer to bring an ecological carpet tile to market Minimum70. The Econyl70 yarn has been upgraded to Econyl, consisting of 100% recycled material. All the modulyss eco-tiles are now 100% ecological. 7

The certificate is issued by FDES, an independent institution, for compliance with the NF P01-010 standard. HQE 11

24 Antistatic All of our carpet tiles are permanently antistatic, in accordance with the ISO 6356 standard. That means that they achieve a value that is equal to or less than 2 kv. 27 Dimensional stability Our carpet tiles have a performance stability of less than 0.2%. The stability is tested in accordance with the European EN 986 standard. 28 Solvent-free The bitume used in the backing of our carpet tiles is not oxidised and has not been processed with solvents, resulting in a supple, wear resistant and solvent-free backing. 25 Experience modulyss has more than 20 years experience in the production of carpet tiles. 29 Economical with water Rain water is the only water we use in the production of our carpet tiles. In comparison with 2008, we have reduced our water consumption by 46%. 30 Recycling raw materials At modulyss, we are economical with our raw materials. All of the remainder and waste yarns that are collected during production are completely recycled into new yarns. 32 UPEC Our Millennium, Step, Perpetual, First and Resist100 ranges have earned the UPEC guarantee certificate. They are free of harmful substances, such as lead, cadmium, mercury or chromium. 35 Sustainable Solution Certificate As part of the CARE programme, converting carpet tiles are converted into secondary fuel at the end of their life cycle, customers receive a certificate that guarantees that the tiles have been converted in a sustainable way. 14

38 Centralisation modulyss only has one production site, which makes it possible for us to reduce internal transportation and limits our CO 2 emissions drastically. 2010 Google, Map Data 2010 Tele Atlas 39 Waste reduction modulyss strives to reduce the volume of waste from the production processes as much as possible. Compared to 2008 we have reduced the amount of residual yarns by 9% and the amount of cutting waste by 12%. 36 Green electricity All of the electricity that we use at modulyss is green electricity generated from renewable resources. 37 Ecological packaging modulyss adheres to the recycling philosophy for its packaging as well. We only use cardboard boxes that are made of 100% recycled material. 40 Electricity savings At modulyss, we are very aware of our own electricity consumption. Through a variety of measures, we have succeeded in reducing our electricity consumption by 17% in four years. 41 Recycled primary backing The primary backing we use for the complete modulyss range is made 100% of recycled PET bottles. 42 High-quality raw materials For the production of our carpet tiles, we use well-known yarns of the highest quality, which contributes to the exceptionally long life of the carpet. 43 Easy installation Our carpet tiles can be installed extremely easily. 44 Natural gas consumption At modulyss, we are economical with our energy. In four years, we have reduced the volume of natural gas used by our company by 24%. This standard is used worldwide as a guideline for developing a CSR approach in companies. modulyss has operated in compliance with the ISO 26000 standard since 2010. 59 Light Reflection Value (LRV) of carpet tiles The light reflection value is the quantity of light that is reflected by the carpet when the latter is lit by a light source. The value is determined by the colour and structure of the carpet. The higher the value, the more light is reflected. All modulyss carpet tile collections are tested by the CSTB (FR) and obtain excellent values, thereby contributing to a lower energy consumption in an office environment. 22
