WHAT DO YOUR HATERS REPRESENT? By: Fountain Hendricks 1st Samuel 18:5-15 Haters are people who are jealous about your progress. Haters are people who smile at your failures. Haters are people who frown at your happiness. Haters are people who love everything bad about you but hate everything good about you. The one thing you need to know about haters is that they are NOT attracted to people, they are ONLY attracted to PROGRESS. Your haters will increase as your progress increases. The primary indicator that you are doing well in life is when your haters grow in numbers. Haters will always attempt to down play what deserves to be celebrated because they want to DISCOURAGE you from progressing. If a hater can discourage you from

progressing then they have achieved their purpose in your life. DO NOT ALLOW THE CHATTER OF HATERS TO STOP YOU FROM BEING PRODUCTIVE. HERE ARE 5 TYPES OF PEOPLE THAT HATERS DESPISE: Haters despise people who are DOING BETTER than them. Haters despise people who KNOW MORE than them. Haters despise people who have MORE FAVOR than them. Haters despise people who have ACHIEVED MORE than them. Haters despise the people who CAN COMPETE with their abilities.

If you fit in any of these categories you will attract haters because in some way, form or fashion you are progressing. HATERS PRIMARILY DEPISE WHAT THEY SEE BUT THEY RESENT WHO THEY ARE because you REMIND them of the opportunities they lost. You REMIND them of the possibilities that has passed them by. You REMIND them of the potential they once had. You REMIND them of who they could of been. Anytime you attract a new hater it is because you remind them of the future they could of had. People become haters of other people because they CARRY the regret of their past decisions. SUCCESS BREEDS HATERS 1st Samuel 18:5-15 It is amazing how personal success can attract public haters. This is what David experienced with King Saul. Before the Lord anointed David to be the next King of Israel, he was a Sheppard boy taking care of sheep. He

wasn t doing anything special or spectacular. He lived a meaningless life but when the Lord anointed Him he received an opportunity to serve under King Saul. At the time King Saul had been rejected as God s anointed King because he disobeyed the Lord s commandment in 1st Samuel chapter 15 but God still allowed him to hold the position of a King. King Saul favored David. He became very fond of him. He enjoyed the way David played the harp because it gave him peace from the evil spirits that were tormenting him. King Saul liked David so much that he promoted him from his musician to his armor bearer. David served King Saul with tremendous admiration. King Saul noticed that David was a great warrior when he defeated Goliath and won countless battles BUT as David s success & popularity started to GROW King Saul s heart started to change for the WORSE. The scripture tells us in verse 6 that after David killed Goliath, women from all of the towns of Israel sang songs of joy saying

that Saul has killed thousands of his enemies, but David has killed tens of thousands. As David success and popularity grew, Saul s hatred grew SIMULTANEOUSLY. As long as David was doing LESS than King Saul, King Saul loved him but as soon as David became his COMPETITION, King Saul became JEALOUS of him according to verse 9. JEALOUSY IS THE FOUNDATION THAT EVERY HATER STANDS ON The people who have become haters in your life have FOUND something to be jealous of whether it is your happiness, career, income, peace and etc. Haters are always birthed when they SEE something in you that they do not have themselves. King Saul saw the anointing that was on David s life that was NOT in his life. People will become your hater when they see something in you that is not on them. The Pharisees became Jesus haters because they SAW the influence that Jesus had with the people that they DID NOT have. The Jews became the Apostle Paul s haters because they SAW the

Wisdom that he had that they DID NOT have. Haters will always admire what you have but they will hate that you have it FOR MORE WISDOM GO TO STORE.WISETHOUGHTS.NET
