Dear Future Man of Morehouse: Congratulations on your acceptance to Morehouse College! You have just successfully completed a monumental objective in the process of making one of the most important decisions in your life: where you will attend college. We hope that you will decide to make Morehouse College your choice for this next stage of your educational pursuits. For more than 145 years, Morehouse College has been and continues to be a shining example of excellence in its ability to educate men and produce global leaders. Our legacy is of developing men who have helped transform society and the world. We take pride in our long-standing tradition of producing men of high academic preparation, strong moral character and transformational leadership ability. As you consider your college choices, one very important question you should ask yourself is what are the outcomes and opportunities that exist for me upon completion of my degree. Morehouse has a network of more than 12,000 alumni. We have produced some of the nation s top physicians and Wall Street executives, as well as a Nobel Peace Prize winner who now has his likeness on the mall in Washington, D.C. The College is also one of only two historically black colleges and universities to produce three Rhodes scholars. Our graduates continue their education at some of the top graduate and professional schools in the nation, such as Harvard, Yale, Duke and Stanford. Others enter the workforce at many of the world s leading employers, such as Microsoft, Coca-Cola, Google and Goldman Sachs. We hope that you and your family will take the opportunity to tour Morehouse so that you can fully engage the campus community, personally experience the brotherhood, and see what being a student at Morehouse is all about. We are confident that Morehouse College will exceed your expectations. We want you to attend Morehouse because we know that it will change your life and give you an experience that you cannot get at any other college in the world. We want you to become a man of Morehouse! Please visit our website at www.morehouse.edu or contact the Office of Admissions at (404) 215-2632 to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. I look forward to welcoming you to Morehouse College! Sincerely, Darryl D. Isom 93 Director of Admissions and Recruitment

TigerDEN ONLINE HOUSING APPLICATION Applying for housing at Morehouse College is a simple process. The following steps will ensure that you get the most out of TigerDEN, which is designed to give you the most freedom in selecting a Learning Community and a roommate. Please follow the instructions closely. HOW TO SELECT A LEARNING COMMUNITY Morehouse College Learning Communities are aligned with the College s mission to create an environment where men of Morehouse are expected to master a designated set of skills and competencies related to what they learn inside the classroom. These are entire residence houses where students request to live near others who share a particular interest in academics, social and cultural issues and/or activities. These communities help students create a strong link between their lives in the residence hall and learning experiences in the classroom, and provide an environment that is conducive to building a strong, cohesive peer support system that will serve them throughout their academic and professional careers. Residents have access to special resources, programs and activities such as freshman orientation, seminars, lectures, service learning, tutors, mentoring programs and much more. Incoming students have the opportunity to become a member of a Learning Community by researching and selecting top four choices before completing the application.
