18 Harvest Terrace, West Perth WA 6005 Tel (08) 9476 1212 Fax (08) 9476 1299 Section 14(1) of the Painters Registration Act 1961 provides as follows: A company or other body corporate which applies to be registered under this Act is entitled to be so registered if and when it pays the fees prescribed for such registration and satisfies the Board that there is already registered under this Act, at least one director of the company or one member of the board of management of the body corporate or a person employed in such a manner and with such duties and responsibilities by the company or body corporate to manage and supervise painting work carried out by such company or body corporate as in the opinion of the Board will in each particular case, ensure the proper management and supervision of painting so carried out. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in this Act, the registration under this Act of a company or other body corporate pursuant to this section shall continue and have effect only while at least one director of the company or at least one member of the board of management of the body corporate or a person employed by the company or body corporate to manage and supervise the painting undertaken by it, continues to be registered under this Act. REQUIREMENTS FOR REGISTRATION OF COMPANIES 1. Standard application form No 7 to be completed by an authorised representative of the company/body corporate. 2. Statutory Declaration form to be completed by an authorised representative of the company/body corporate. 3. Statutory Declaration form to be completed by the company/body corporate nominated registered supervisor. 4. A formal agreement between the company/body corporate and its nominated registered supervisor to be provided in triplicate. 5. A photocopy of the company/body corporate certificate of Incorporation and a list of its shareholders and directors to be obtained from the Australian Securities and Investments Commission, 1st Floor, 66 St George's Terrace, Perth (Tel: 1300 300 630). 6. $118 application fee NOTE: Incomplete applications for registration cannot be considered by the Board and will be returned to the applicant.
