FIRST YEAR Course Description Session I Faith God is not ignorant and cannot condone ignorance. You must be informed to be able to change this world. Dynamics of Faith and Confession You will learn the practical application of God s Word regarding Faith and Confession. God has given us principles that will cause us to walk victoriously through the problems of life. Demonology A study of demons through the Bible and our authority over them. II Corinthians 2:11 says, Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices... but most Christians are ignorant. Righteousness Awake to that righteousness that Jesus bought for you, and learn of your rights and right standing in the Father s family. Blood Covenant I A scriptural study of what our inheritance is through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. Hebrews This is a study of Hebrews, emphasizing the priesthood of Jesus Christ and a glimpse into the heavenly tabernacle not made with man s hands. Psalms A wonderful experience awaits you in choosing this class. Psalms is a book that will open your heart to hear from God. Growing Up Spiritually I This class will help you locate where you are spiritually; then, show you how to grow into the next stage of spiritual development, and to help you see the Body of Christ more clearly. FIRST YEAR Course Description Session II Prayer I Learn the essential principles in prayer to receive from God what you are praying about. Prayer is seeking help from God in matters that are beyond our power. God s Armourbearer God s desire is for us to hook up with a local Pastor and his leaders: to support them, get behind the Pastor s vision, and to help uphold them. God calls us to the position of support. Do you know your position? The Life of Christ I This course of study will help the student to grasp a hold of the life and times of Jesus. Using the four Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John you will be given an opportunity to see how the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. Developing Heart Faith & Spiritual Creativity God is a faith God, and He operates on the principle of faith. He is Creator. He wants His children to have creative ideas, and to develop a spiritual image on the inside, causing us to have a successful life. Alien Entities An educated believer is one that can better defend himself against the devil and his army. This is a scriptural study of demons and the different manifestations they use against us. Learn how to be prepared for effective battle. Angels Christians usually have some knowledge of angels, basically from stories in the Old Testament. The importance of the GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT to the essential functioning of the church of Jesus Christ cannot be over-estimated. The purpose of this course is to teach believers how to develop in and exercise spiritual authority, giving the believer both victories in his life and a helpful ministry to those struggling for spiritual power. Building Relationships through Love Meaningful relationships are a vital part of every person s life. After man s relationship with his Creator, his dealings with his mate, children, and other acquaintances have a profound effect on his success in the world. This course helps with some basic guidelines on having a positive attitude and how to develop good lasting relationships. How to Cope I Modern man may have the ability to run a large business or make a million dollars, but is unable to cope with life. This is a step-by-step study of how to be an over-coming Christian in your daily life. Fruit of the Spirit A tree is known by its fruits. We, too, shall be known by our fruit. If we are righteous, we shall yield good works, but if we are corrupt, we shall produce evil deeds. SECOND YEAR Course Description Session I World Missions I A study of various practical aspects of missionary life, with special attention to methods of funding, accountability, transportation, as well as maintaining strong personal and family relationships. Ministerial Ethics This course is a study of the spiritual requirements of the personal life of the minister with respect to morals and integrity. Taking care of the natural will enhance the spiritual. Family Finance A biblical teaching from God s Word on the prosperity of the family and how it can be effective in our lives Walking in the Anointing A scriptural study on the importance of walking continually in a fresh anointing. This class will enrich your knowledge on how to be equipped for the Holy Spirit to work through you. Homiletics A basic communications course on how to effectively present scripture to a variety of age groups with special emphasis on the use of proper scripture reference placement. Bible Doctrines A scriptural study on Christian doctrine in the Old and New Testament Acts I A study of the triumphant spreading of the Gospel through the power of the Holy Spirit from the narrow border of Judaism into the gentile world, as told by Luke in the book of Acts. World Religions and Cults I A general study for those interested in knowing what various religious groups and cults believe and why those beliefs are not compatible with biblical Christianity. Community Ministries Learn how to apply ministry techniques in working with the Prison Ministry, Senior Care Centers, Nursing homes and Visitation. This course is a hands-on approach to meeting the needs of others in your surrounding community.
SECOND YEAR Course Description Session II World Missions II This class is a continuation of World Mission I. Learn to minister to the local people, work with translators, understand their culture, and respect the people and their customs. Understand how to be a help to the pastor and his flock, ministering the word of God to meet the need of the people according to the promise of the kingdom, not the circumstance of the country. Bible Interpretation An intensive study methods of Biblical interpretation, with particular attention given to the historical context, grammar, vocabulary, figurative language and other considerations pertaining to how to study the Bible. Blood Convenant II True believers are in covenant relationship with God through Christ and the New Covenant. They are also in covenant relationship with each other. Be spiritually transformed as you learn to understand, appreciate and experience covenental relationships with God and other believers. Sowing Seeds for the Supernatural A scriptural study of the principle of seedtime and harvest: God s divine pattern of sowing seed, waiting for a period of time and then reaping the harvest. This is the principle that governs the course of our entire existence. Church History A study of the Christian Church through the six stages of development from the day of Pentecost to the present day. Learn when the church started and what is the true church. SECOND YEAR Course Description Session III God s Financial Thoughts & Ways This course will study God s financial plan for you to spread the gospel. How do you raise money to do what God has called you to do? Do you ask people? Do you send letters? Do you make your requests known unto man? Do you get to know people with money? Do you go from church to church? Do you just go and God will take care of the bill? How do you get the money to do what God wants you to do? Counseling Strategies This study deals with introductory principles of biblical counseling in the Christian community. Emphasis will be given to scriptural solutions to man s problem. Mission Trip Mission Trips outside the United States will be organized by WHBTC to be taken by students. Students will need to take one of these mission trips to complete graduation requirement for a Certificate in Christian Ministry. The Ministry Gifts Scriptural study of the ministry gifts in the New Testament: understanding the five-fold ministry gifts, and the purpose of each gift to the body of Christ. Foundations in Youth Ministry This class helps the student to get a basic over-all view of the plans and purpose of Youth Ministry, and why young people need to be ministered to in a way that best meets their needs. Revelation This course is a study of the book of Revelation chapter by chapter and how the book of Revelations applies to us in this present day. Acts III A continuous study of the book of Acts. The Will The purpose of this class is to help each student understand that our will is the most potent force on the face of the earth and that God had specific purpose in mind when he gave each of us our own free will. Foundations in Nursery, Toddler & Pre-School Ministry Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God. Learn how to minister to babies and how to set up an effective ministry for younger children and their families.
SECOND YEAR Course Description Session IV Transferring of the Anointing Learn the importance of the transferring of the anointing through association and why it is necessary to put on the whole Armor of God. Apologetics The course is designed to familiarize the students with the nature and strategy for the defense of Christianity. Making an argument in the defense of what we believe about the word of GOD and why we believe the Bible is the word of God.. Evangelism This class prepares students for personal evangelism, worldwide evangelism and teaches effective methods to promote evangelism. The Biblical basis of Evangelism will be explored. Leadership in Church Planting The course will examine what it takes to be a good leader establishing a new work, that people are willing to follow and get involved in with you. This course includes the study of faith in God as your only support, spirit, soul, body and financially, not relying on people: as David encouraged himself in the LORD when all was against him, and as Paul told Timothy to stir up the gift of God that is in him. Pauline Epistle The analytic study of the Pauline letters, including the major doctrines found in these epistles. Foundations in Children s Ministry This is a hands-on approach to receiving instruction on how to minister effectively with children from ages 6 to 12. Emphasis will be focused on recruiting and training of volunteers. Acts IV A continuous study of the book of Acts. Pastoral Epistles This is the study of the Pauline epistles, 1 & 2 Timothy, and Titus. It studies doctrinal truths given to young Pastors and how the truths are applied in the local church. Faith In Action This class will help the student see the sacrifices that individuals and couples have made in working in the ministry. How Faith in Action brought about a deeper commitment to understanding submission and obedience in hearkening to the voice of God.
