2012 Citadel of Faith Covenant Church

General Counsel Attorney Ross has had the opportunity to serve as a National and International Business Consultant for both newly developed and well established Corporations in the public and private sectors.

Sherrie s heart is compassionate for strengthening and preserving families. She works endless hours most often pro bono assisting children in the Foster care and adoption system. She has worked as an advocate in the Juvenile Justice System since 1987. Runs the S. Ross Foundation, Inc. a private non-profit organization to empower strengthen and preserve families by creating economic selfsufficiency through the Arts and is the mother of seven active children. Her hobbies are running, writing, reading and painting.

My wife Heidi and I have been attending Citadel since 2007. We have two daughters, Sasha and Alexis, and are beginning the foster care process. I love Citadel for teaching us to worship, for the diverse community, and for the amazing leadership and preaching. Since high school I've been involved in worship planning and leading, and using technology to enhance it. During the week I design professional sound video and lighting and communication systems for other churches, businesses, and schools.

In late 2008, I moved to Detroit to begin graduate school at Wayne State University. Not long after my move, I was introduced to Citadel and joined shortly thereafter. Over these few, short years, God has used Citadel to strengthen, encourage, and challenge me. In the process, Citadel has become family to me, and I believe God has placed me in this church and this city to teach me about His love for others and His love for me. Given all that I ve received, I count it a privilege to be asked to serve you as part of the leadership team.

Husband of Virginia Faye & father of two sons Jalen and Julian. My experience includes 38 years with Henry Ford Health System as a purchasing agent and CEO of Hottracks Food Service for the past 28 years. As a person of faith who always believes that God being the center of my life and has always provided for my family and I. through him all things are possible for there is nothing God can't do. Being a believer and keeping faith through the spirit of Jesus Christ on the journey to become better Christians and brothers & sisters in Christ. Realizing it s not all about me, but it s about what we can do to service others and contributing to make someone else life better through our love in Christ.

Jennifer Brazeal is originally from Inkster, Michigan. Her parents are Rev. Eugene and Linda Brazeal, Jr. She has one sister, Robyn, who is also her best friend. A graduate of Miami University of Ohio and Michigan State University College of Law, Jennifer has been practicing law at the National Labor Relations Board as a field attorney for seven and a half years. Most importantly, Jennifer is glad to have entered into a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. She hopes that everyone will find deliverance through Jesus. Joining Citadel has been an absolute blessing to her. Her hobbies include writing, traveling, basketball, and playing with her Jack Russell terrier, Cosmo.

Robert Reid, Interim Chair Rodney Ross, Vice Chair Linda Ornsby, Interim Treasurer Denise Jackson, Secretary Karen Simpson, member

I rededicated my life to Christ at my cousin s funeral in Chicago in August 1999 that was officiated by Pastor Carey. Joined Citadel on the second day of bible study in August 2003. Faithfully served as the first leader of the Children s ministry for 6 years. Taught teachers training, new members classes and currently serves as Secretary of the Leadership Team. I ve had my share of ups and downs but I have CRAZY FAITH AND GOD IS MY SOURCE. Some of my favorite scriptures include Ecclesiastes 3:1-14, Hosea 4:6, Philippians 4:13. My spiritual gifts are Faith, Teacher and Pastor. Professionally, I work for a Christian company in Troy, MI in the area of Accounting. Prior to that, I worked in International Travel for 14 years and in the banking industry for 7 years. Davenport University Alumni with a degree in Business. Married for 20 years and mother to my step-son Dustin 24 and Darius 14.

Linda joined Citadel of Faith Covenant Church in 2003, during the churches early days at Abyssinia. In her service to the ministry she accepted the position as Leader of the Dance Ministry. Currently, Linda serves as the Interim Treasurer of the Leadership Team. Before becoming self-employed, Linda served as an Internal Audit Manager and worked in Risk & Advisory groups, providing internal audit consulting within the Big 4 accounting firms in Detroit. Providing Sarbanes- Oxley compliance work for established and new business organizations.

Married to Sherrie C. Ross for 22 years and am the father to 6 six daughters, 1 son and 1 son-in-law. Our children range in ages from 3 years to 22 years old. Employed with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan for 20 years. In 2007 I was lead to the body of Citadel of Faith Covenant Church, where my family and I united at the conclusion of the first service that we attended. I strive toward the faith demonstrated by Abram that culminated in his ascent to being Abraham. I know that God lives, as He has manifested Himself through many miracles in my life. I choose to believe His Word and there is nothing that can convince me differently. it is my desire to wholly support the vision of the Senior Pastor and provide my time and talents toward serving the people of God; within and outside of this Holy house. It is my prayer that I will make a positive contribution toward building up God s house and His people, in a manner that He will get the glory, honor, and praise.

I joined Citadel after my first visit to the church in 2004. My life has been in and around the church and after a chance meeting with Pastor Carey my spiritual life hit a growth spurt. Member of the Alpha new member s class and have served in numerous ministries from praise team, teacher, deacon and leadership team. Married six years to my beautiful w ife, Jocelyn, we have two wonderful children. My professional background is insurance and sales and I work diligently to develop the gifts God has given me. My goal is to be a reflection of God in the earth as a model of His love and abundance. Commitment is doing what you said you would, long after the feeling you made the commitment in has left. Growth is a process and does not happen overnight. I am honored to serve a second term as Interim Chair of the Leadership Team.

A member of Citadel of Faith Covenant Church since the very first service 9 years ago. After hearing Pastor Carey, I knew without a doubt that God had called me to Citadel. My mother, sister, friends and neighbors followed me to Citadel. Proud graduated of the Alpha new member s class and faithfully started and served in the Hospitality Ministry which included First Sunday Fellowship, Communion and Security responsibilities. Karen has also served in the Congregational Care and New Members Guild. Currently, serving as needed for Benevolence, and as a member of the Leadership Team. My spiritual gifts are exhortation, service, and one special gift that only Pastor Marshall knows about. I love Citadel of Faith; I love my Pastors, my church family, and the vision given to Pastor Carey for Citadel. I couldn't be more blessed.
