Mix all 3 mixtures together and beat well. Dough is fairly sticky. 2. Put in the refrigerator overnight. 3. Divide the dough in half. Knead it with some flour until it is a soft dough. 4. Roll out a large circle. 5. Cut with pizza cutter into 16 pieces. 6. Roll each roll starting at wide end of triangle and rolling to the point. Place point side down on greased cookie sheet. 7. Cover with towel and allow to rise until doubled in size. 8. Bake at 350 for about 20 minutes White Bread 2 1/4 cups milk 2 teaspoons yeast dissolved in 1/4 cup hot water 3 Tablespoons sugar 2 teaspoon salt 6-8 cups flour 1. Add all the other ingredients and enough flour to make a good soft dough. 2. Knead well. YOU CAN T KNEAD BREAD DOUGH TOO MUCH! 3. Let rise 1 hour. 4. Punch down and shape into loaves, put in greased pans. 5. Let rise a second time. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes, or until golden brown. Giant Cinnamon Rolls
1 Tablespoon yeast dissolved in 1/4 cup hot water 1/4 cup sugar 1/4 cup margarine or butter 1 egg 1 teaspoon salt 4 cups flour 1. Heat milk, sugar, and butter in saucepan until butter is melted. Cool. 2. Add all ingredients together and knead so you have a soft dough. 3. Cover, let rise until doubled in bulk. Punch down and roll out a large rectangle. 4. Brush with melted butter. Sprinkle on brown sugar, cinnamon/sugar, nuts or raisins. 5. Roll up, cut with thread and put on greased cookie sheet. Makes 16-one cookie sheet. 6. Bake 375 for 15-20 minutes or until slightly golden brown. Frost. Russian Whole Wheat Pancakes 1 cup whole wheat 2 Tablespoon sugar 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon soda 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 cup oil 1. Place whole wheat in the blender. Slow speed at first, then higher and blend for 4 minutes. 2. Put the rest of the ingredients into the blender and blend another 1-2 minutes. 3. Pour pancake batter directly from the blender on the hot griddle or electric fry pan. Big Soft Pretzels 1 and 1/2 teaspoon yeast 3/4 cup hot water 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 Tablespoons sugar 1. Dissolve the yeast in the hot water.
2. Mix all the other ingredients together with the yeast mixture. 3. Knead until a soft dough. 4. Roll into long ropes and form pretzels. 5. Brush with egg and water mixture. 6. Sprinkle on one of the following: sesame seeds, poppy seeds, cinnamon/sugar, garlic powder 7. Bake at 425 for 15 minutes. Homemade Pasta Noodles 1/2 teaspoon salt 3 large eggs (room temperature) 2 Tablespoons olive oil 1 or 2 Tablespoons water if needed 1. Combine flour and salt, shaping in a dome. Make a well. Bran Muffins 3 cups all-bran cereal 1 cup boiling water 2 cups buttermilk 2 1/4 cup whole wheat 3/4 teaspoon salt 2 1/2 teaspoon soda 3/4 cup sugar 1/2 cup shortening 1. Combine cereal, water, buttermilk. Let stand 5 minutes. 2. Cream together sugar and shortening, add eggs. Sift dry ingredients. 3. Put all three mixtures together and beat well. 4. Bake in muffin pan at 400 for 15 to 20 minutes. 5. This batter will keep in refrigerator for up to 6 weeks. Set a slice of ham, sausage or bacon on muffin. 6. Put on egg and top with other half of muffin.
