PRAISE (sing praise to God) - WHY PRAISE? - PRAISE ATTITUDES. - PRAISE CONSEQUENCE I. PRAISE WHY PRAISE? 1. God created us in order to PRAISE HIM Praise the LORD, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Psalm 103:1 - Remember God created Adam and Eve. He visited them to talk with them and listen to them, bless them RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN GOD AND MEN Gen 3:8 2. PRAISE just begin to step into His presence : When the ark of the LORD's covenant came into the camp, all Israel raised such a great shout that the ground shook. 1 Sam 4:5 - Most of people think that prayer, reading the Word are more important than PRAISE today. Or they assume praise is the last thing to do, it may waste time, or just be suitable for youth (!) - If you don t know how to praise here in the earth then you will not be suitable for living in the Kingdom of God. 3. PRAISE which to show your thankful heart of what God has done for you! Even thankful in the present, future time. Praise the LORD. Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever. Ps 106:1 4. PRAISE because It is good to praise the Lord and make music to Your name, o Most High. (Psalm 92:1) - David had found the truth that gives His successful life. - David was also known as instrumental maker. 1
II. PRAISE ATTITUDES: 1. REJOICE: We are invited into the Holy Ghost party not a funeral! Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Psalm 100:2 We have FUN in the LORD! like a playful children before their parents. They always make their parents happy by a good attitute. Neh 8:10-11 for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not be grieved, for the joy of the LORD is your strength." 2. CLAP-DANCE- with MUSIC: We use all the talents, abilities with all our soul, mind and heart to PRAISE HIM. David and all the house of Israel A were celebrating before the LORD B with all kinds of instruments made of 1 fir wood, and with lyres, harps, tambourines, castanets and cymbals. 2 Sam 6:5 2 Sam 6:14-16 14 And A David was dancing before the LORD with all his might, and David was 1 B wearing a linen ephod. 15 So David and all the house of Israel were bringing up the ark of the LORD with shouting and the sound of the trumpet. 16 Then it happened as the ark of the LORD came into the city of David that A Michal the daughter of Saul looked out of the window and saw King David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart. 3. NO BOUNDARY, NO SHAME: Remember David was a king, but there is no boundary between him and his people in worship God. 2
Ritualism, prejudice, selfishness, discrimination are boundaries to stop you or hinder you from bearing a fruitfulness, God s presence. 2 Sam 6:16 As the ark of the LORD was entering the City of David, Michal daughter of Saul watched from a window. And when she saw King David leaping and dancing before the LORD, she despised him in her heart. 2 Sam 6:20-23 Then David returned home to bless his household, Michal daughter of Saul came out to meet him and said, "How the king of Israel has distinguished himself today, disrobing in the sight of the slave girls of his servants as any vulgar fellow would!" 21 David said to Michal, "It was before the LORD, who chose me rather than your father or anyone from his house when he appointed me ruler over the LORD's people Israel I will celebrate before the LORD. 22 I will become even more undignified than this, and I will be humiliated in my own eyes. But by these slave girls you spoke of, I will be held in honor." 23 And Michal daughter of Saul had no children to the day of her death. 4. PRAISE GOD AT ANY TIME OF YOUR LIFE: 164 Seven times a day I praise you for your righteous laws. Ps 119:164 - ( How many songs or how many times per day do you sing praise to God? ) 5 Let the saints rejoice in this honor and sing for joy on their beds. Ps 149:5 ( now if you are so busy in a day, bed time also is a good time to make God happy by praising) 5 Sing to the LORD, for he has done glorious things; let this be known to all the world. Isa 12:5 ( Praise can be heard by any kind of media, instrumentals, radio, music player,etc ) III. PRAISE CONSEQUENCE: 3
1. PRAISE THE SOUND OF VICTORY: Praise goes forth will help you to overcome the world, take this land, city for the LORD! Amen. After the death of Joshua, the Israelites asked the LORD, "Who will be the first to go up and fight for us against the Canaanites?" 2 The LORD answered, "Judah is to go; I have given the land into their hands." Judg 1:1-2 4 When Judah attacked, the LORD gave the Canaanites and Perizzites into their hands and they struck down ten thousand men at Bezek. Judg 1:4 Praise breaks the chains, curses The healing, deliverance, happiness will come! 25 About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. 26 Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everybody's chains came loose. Acts 16:25-27 Praise moves God s hand, Praise brings heaven down to any circumstance. 21 After consulting the people, Jehoshaphat appointed men to sing to the LORD and to praise him for the splendor of his d holiness as they went out at the head of the army, saying:"give thanks to the LORD,for his love endures forever." 22 As they began to sing and praise, the LORD set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated. 2 Chron 20:21-22 2. PRAISE BRINGS YOU JOY and RIGHT RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD: 10 Nehemiah said, "Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is sacred to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength." Neh 8:10 3 But You are holy, Enthroned in the praises of Israel. Ps 22:3 (New King James) 4
