Vendor Due Diligence Vendor-initiated due diligence is where the selling party requests due diligence to be conducted from the viewpoint of the prospective buyer. The findings are made available to all prospective buyers. Vendor-initiated due diligence makes the sale process easier to control and can help fuel competition among the bidders. Vendor due diligence is particularly suitable for use in auctions.
