Management Team 2 Executive Officer, Head of Fund Management Department Masashi Ohwa After joining Kenedix in June 2004, Mr. Ohwa has been consistently involved in the management of real estate funds, chiefly with respect to property management. In June 2005, he became the property management supervisor at Kenedix Office Investment Corporation (formerly Kenedix Realty Investment Corporation), where he contributed to the internal growth of this corporation. In July 2012, he was assigned to the management of private funds. Since March 2014, he has been overseeing private fund management at Kenedix as an executive officer and general manager of the Fund Management Department and Asset Management Department. Mr. Ohwa s career of more than 20 years encompasses the leasing management, brokerage, development, purchase and sale, and other operations associated with office, condominium, retail, residential and other properties. Executive Officer, Head of Equity Investment Department Koju Komatsu Mr. Komatsu joined Kenedix in April 2005 and was involved in all aspects of REIT operations as a director and general manager of the Investment Management Department and compliance officer at Kenedix Office Investment Corporation (formerly Kenedix Realty Investment Corporation), where he contributed to the growth of this corporation. In October 2012, he was named general manager of the newly established Equity Investment Department where he oversees investment decisions for Kenedix principal investments and the completion of these acquisitions. His career spans more than 18 years, including assignments in the real estate and finance operations of Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, Limited (formerly The Mitsui Trust and Banking Company, Limited) which he joined in 1996. Executive Officer, Head of Business Development Department Takahiro Uchida Mr.Uchida had been engaged in the establishment and execution of plans for real estate investments in Japan and other countries at The Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co., Ltd. formerly The Tokio Marine & Fire Insurance Co., Ltd.) After that, he joined GE Japan Corporation (formerly GE Real Estate) where he was responsible for risk management and investments in the real estate business. He was involved with more than 1 trillion yen of real estate transactions during that time. At Kenedix, Inc., Mr. Uchida is the Head of Business Development Department, where he supervises the creation of new businesses from new perspectives that can contribute to growth in the future. In all, his career in the real estate finance sector spans more than two decades. As a result, Mr. Uchida has expertise in deal sourcing, investor relationships, risk management and many other fields in Japan and overseas. Executive Officer, Head of Finance & Accounting Department Moyuru Watanabe Mr. Watanabe joined Kenedix in 2008. He filled important roles at Kenedix concerning negotiations with financial institutions and corporate cash flow management. Before Kenedix, Mr. Watanabe first worked at Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ ( formerly Bank of Tokyo ) where he was assigned to accounting and corporate banking positions. He was also sent by this bank to the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (currently Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry) for work associated with overseas investments. His career of more than 20 years covers start-up companies, mega-banks and government ministries. These diverse assignments give Mr. Watanabe experience involving finance and accounting at companies in various stages of their development. Kenedix Asia Pte. Ltd. President Akihiro Nakao After joining Kenedix in June 2007, Mr. Nakao was assigned to the Corporate Planning Department where he was involved with corporate strategy planning, fund raising, capital restructuring, investor relations and other activities. In August 2011, he joined the project team for the establishment of Kenedix Residential Investment Corporation. He played a key role in the growth of this new J-REIT by overseeing operations involving capital markets activities. In June 2015, Mr. Nakao was appointed to oversee operations for Kenedix Asia Pte. Ltd. Before joining Kenedix, Mr. Nakao worked in the investment banking divisions of SMBC Nikko Securities and Citigroup Global Markets Japan. He has considerable experience with large fund procurement activities, mergers and acquisitions, and other investment banking activities.
