why should i do a transformation video? If you are at the beginning or in the middle of your Coach, your transformation video will increase the chances of you giving it you all. ALL THE TIME! Nothing gives more joy than helping others. The transformation videos made by Free Athletes have inspired many others to make positive change in their lives. If you are willing to change your life and motivate others at the same time, a transformation video is the way to go. We believe that you will be the one they look up to and get inspired by in the future!
LET S GET THINGS CLEAR RIGHT AWAY Nothing good in life comes easy. You are going to struggle, you are going to be in pain and maybe you even think about giving up. But we know you are going to give it your all and in the end you will succeed. Everyone who kept to it, had great results so far. No exceptions! We want you to know that for us it is more important that you become truly fit. That is why we challenge you to make your own transformation video. If you follow our Coach and meet the video guidelines, we will post your video on our social media pages - your video will be shared all around the world. We were not kidding by saying you are going to be an inspiration for millions of people!
WHAT DO I NEED TO DO? 1 Take a lot of pictures At least once a week, take a picture of yourself from the front, back and from the side. You should be on the picture knee upwards wearing only short (and a sports bra for women). Try to take it from the same spot at the same daytime (e.g. after waking up) with the same lighting. 2 Record videos of yourself during working out The more videos you have the better. The important part is the beginning even if the workout took you an hour. It is important to see you developing during the video. Step by step. Try not to record the same workout. Different angles will change things up and look good in the video. Try also to record yourself while turning 360 knee upwards and wearing only shorts (and a sports bra for women) and same lighting.
IN THE END IT S UP TO YOU. The transformation is all about you. Take people through your journey - let them partipate in it. Following sections will give you some suggestions. What s your why? Why did you start Freeletics? How did you get to know Freeletics? What is your personal story? What is your goal? This part of the video might be a little emotional. Don t be ashamed of your former self. Everyone had to start somewhere! What were the hardest challenges you had to overcome through the 15 weeks? Sore muscles, thinking about giving up, joy, happiness, success, workout time? What was your motivation? What kept you going? What changed? What is your personal conclusion after your transformation? Would you recommend Freeletics?
TIMELINE FOr your video Your video should be between 3-5 minutes. If your video is in a language other than English, make sure to use English subtitles. In the end, show the new YOU. Bring up the emotions you feel about yourself now. Show them a happy, strong, and fit athlete. Show them a free athlete! 1 Your personal and emotional story. Your WHY? 2 Your first experience, first impressions 3 What kept you going? 4 You re getting faster, better, stronger 5 Your TRANSFOR- MATION It is tough but worth it
LANGUAGE Language is an important topic of your transformation video. People want to get to know you and the story behind your transformation. You felt happy after your first workout? But sore the day after? You wanted to give up? What was your feeling after seeing your first results? Tell them! People not only want to see the bright side of your transformation but also the struggle. Even though you are not an English native speaker, it is important to use English subtitles. We already mentioned that if your transformation video meets the requirements, it will be shared with the whole community. Therefore it is important that everyone will understand the story behind your transformation. Talk about the feelings you have had during the whole transformation, so people might understand what you went through.
imovie AND PREMIERE When you come to putting your transformation video together, you have different options. If you have a MacBook, you will be able to use imovie for free. Don t worry! You won t need to have special video skills. Each program is supplied with plenty of tutorial videos on the internet. None of those athletes are qualified video makers. But your own true story and transformation will do it perfectly. If you use Windows, you will be able to download the free version for Premiere Pro for one month.
MUSIC AND YOUTUBE The choice of your music will make or break your video. Choose wisely. Sometimes your favourite song just isn t the best song for your video. All your emotions have to be transferred to the viewer. Try to watch an epic fight scene in a movie without sound first and than re-watch it with sound or try to watch it with a different song. You will know what we mean! The thumbnail is nearly as important as the right music choice. This is the picture everybody is going to see before watching your video. It has to be very appealing. A safe choice would be to show a before and after shot of yourself. You are able to upload your preferred thumbnail separately. Some songs have a copyright claim and aren t free for use. The best way to find a song is to take one that is already uploaded on YouTube.
SHARE Your video Everywhere YouTube isn t the only platform you should use. Share your video on other platforms as well, i.e. vimeo or reddit. If you are happy with your results, we will ask you to name Freeletics in the video description and in the video itself. Everybody wants to know how you reached your goal. Tell them which Coach you used and how long it took to get there. Did you use the Nutrition Guide to reach the highest level in this short time? That s exactly what the viewers want to know.

NOT A 15 WEEKS PROGRAM We want to emphasize that Freeletics is NOT solely a 15-week program. It s a lifestyle. There is no end to it. Transformation videos are there to show people that big progress is possible in a short timeframe with the right training, the right diet and the right discipline. We are Free Athletes! Let s show the world what Freeletics is. #CLAPCLAP
