Jesus died for our sins. John denied Jesus three times just like he said he would. Women went to the tomb early Saturday morning to take spices and found the huge stone had been rolled away. The disciples had left and were not guarding the tomb. A shepherd told them that Jesus was alive. When they looked into the tomb, they saw it was empty. The women ran to the disciples Peter and John ran to the tomb and told them that Jesus was to see if Jesus body was gone. not there in the tomb. Peter got to the tomb first, but did not want to go in. On Easter they did not know if the body had been stolen or if Jesus had really come alive again.

Mary Magdalene saw Jesus first on Easter. At the tomb, the person that saw Jesus first thought that He was the shepherd. Jesus was buried in the tomb, but rose again on the third day. Holy Monday is the first day of Holy Week. The priests gave Judas 20 silver coins to betray Jesus. Holy Thursday is the day Jesus gave us the Eucharist. Holy Thursday is when the church commemorates Jesus arrest, trial, crucifixion and suffering, death, and burial. Good Friday is when the church commemorates Jesus arrest, trial, crucifixion and suffering, death, and burial. Holy Saturday is the sixth day of Holy Week. Holy Saturday is part of the second day of the Easter Triduum.
