We Wish You a Merry Christmas And a Happy New Year! Good tidings we bring, To you and your kin. And a Happy New Year! 6th Nov 2013 Our gathering time focus for this fortnight will be measuring, in particular, weighing items to see which is heavy, light. Christmas Fair Clober Primary Christmas Fair is being held on Saturday 30th November at 11am. There will be lots of things for the children to do, and Santa will be receiving visitors too, so come along if you can! Primary 1 Visits All of the pre-school children have recently been invited to visit Primary 1 and they all enjoyed these sessions very much indeed. Many thanks to the Primary 1 staff who spend a lot of time organising these visits which make our children much more confident going to primary school. Children in Need On Friday 15th November we are holding a Toy Fayre and Baking Stall with all proceeds going towards the Children in Need Appeal. We d be grateful for any donations for the stall (baking donations on Thurs 14th or Fri 15th please). If you are able to help on the stall, at the beginning or end of your child s nursery session, please tell one of the staff. The children may dress in their pyjamas on Friday 15th November for a donation of 50p, again all money collected will go to Children in Need.

St Andrew s Day Dress your child in something tartan and/or bring something tartan for our special table on St Andrew s day - Friday 29th November. We will be having oatcakes and cheese, shortbread and juice followed by a ceilidh! Visual Screening Reminder 21st and 22nd November If we do not receive a form from you, we will assume your child has permission to be screened. For those children who are unable to attend on those dates, another date will be arranged to be confirmed. Nativity It will soon be time to cast the main characters for the nativity play, please let staff know if your child will not be taking part in the performance on Friday 6th December. Please note that Pre-school Children who attend in the afternoon will take part in the Nativity at 10am - parents, grandparents and friends are all welcome. We hope you will join us for tea and mince pies after the performance. Christmas Parties The children s Christmas parties will be held on Wednesday 18th December. If you wish to see your child receive his/her present, Santa will be arriving at 11.30am to visit the morning children and again at 2.30pm to visit the afternoon children. Due to lack of space and the number of children who attend am and pm sessions we can only accommodate 1 visitor per child in the Caterpillar Room. All children are invited to the Christmas party, even if they don t usually attend on a Wednesday. Away in a Manger Away in a manger No crib for a bed, The little Lord Jesus laid down his sweet head. The stars in the bright sky Looked down where he lay, The little Lord Jesus asleep on the hay. The cattle are lowing, The baby awakes. But little Lord Jesus no crying he makes. I love thee Lord Jesus, Look down from the sky, And stay by my side until morning is nigh. Be near me Lord Jesus, I ask thee to stay Close by me forever and love me I pray. Bless all the dear children In thy tender care, And fit us for heaven to live with thee there.

If your child has an older sibling at Clober Primary and you would like your children photographed together, please let your child s key worker know the name and class of your child s sibling/s.
