HSOSA REUNION 2007 - THANK YOU NOTES & E-MAILS Thank you for your continued support of the HSOSA it is much appreciated! I write to thank you and the members of your team who worked so terribly hard to set up and achieve such a considerable event on Saturday. It was the most enjoyable occasion and how blessed we were with beautiful weather - Somerset at it's most lovely. The day will have stirred up many memories and emotions for each of us privileged to have known these places during our formative years. It was quite an experience to revisit through the eyes of my teenage self! It will have taken a formidable amount of organization which was greatly appreciated by each of us enjoying the day to the fullest extent. With many thanks and gratitude Charlotte Kuhn I just want to say how much I enjoyed the School Reunion last Saturday. It was really nostalgic going back to the school grounds, a lot of memories and great to meet up with old school friends and catch up. A big thank you to you and Mutamba for organizing such a special day, it was most enjoyable. I was thrilled to be part of the Hall School Reunion and meet up again after such a long time so many good friends and share out memories. It really was a lovely day with everyone and we were doubly blessed with the weather. Annette Richardson (Downing) What a fantastic day we all had yesterday at Holbrook House. You are wonderful to organise such an event. Thank you very much. It was lovely to see so many friends again and to look round the school. It was sad though to see our class rooms buried under brambles and looking so neglected. Thank you all again for such a wonderful day. Jo Falkiner (Baxter) Cathy Fenn

MANY thanks to EVERYONE organising such a super afternoon on Saturday. I'm sure everyone enjoyed it immensely and weren't we lucky with the weather!! (In Cornwall farmer son was delighted it was raining!!!) Also can you thank Mutamba for organizing the great plate of food I had (being a coeliac!!)! I was delighted seeing what a lovely sitting room the old Abbott's Kitchen had made and amazing that so many dwellings were up there but I was amused at the dereliction of the old Huts!!! Room for at least another two houses there! Again THANKS, Rachel Roskilly (Lutman) Just a brief line to express my sincere thanks and appreciation of the hard work you out into making last weekends' HSOSA reunion at Bratton Seymour such a satisfying success. Bravo! With best wishes Felicity Walker Just a quick note to say thank you, another great day and as always so well organised! It was so good to see new faces. So, thanks again - great time, you take good care and keep in touch... Annette Taylor (Barnes) Many thanks for a lovely day at the Hall School reunion. It must have taken a great deal of time and effort to organise - please pass my appreciation to everyone who helped. Best wishes, Pat Cracknell (Tamkin) An amazing turnout such lovely weather a beautiful setting and all those memories. Thank you for arranging such a wonderful day. Shelley Matthews

Just a short note to say thank you for organising such a wonderful reunion of the Hall School Old Scholars on Saturday. I felt really privileged to have been invited and to share such a special afternoon with you all. I greatly enjoyed seeing so many of my girls again and hearing about their families, their jobs, activities etc. With very best wishes, What a wonderful day we have just had at Holbrook House. It was lovely but sad to see The hall School. Very sad to see the classrooms so neglected. Thank you so much for organising it all. I couldn't have begun to do it! It was such fun seeing so many people again and hearing all their news. Many more thanks for making it a day to remember. Yours Jo Falkiner (Baxter) Yours sincerely Mary Glasby (Miss Wallace) I just wanted to say thank you very much for such a great day last week! You clearly put a lot of time and effort into all the organisation and I think everyone there really appreciated it. It was wonderful and very bizarre to see all those Hall School girls (despite the poor turn out from my year). I am so glad we had the opportunity to see the old school as it was the first time I had seen it since I left! What an array of emotion! You really have done us proud and I am so grateful for your efforts, Thank you. How kind of you to organise the Hall School reunion at Holbrook House what a very good afternoon we have had. English weather at its best and great to meet the girls again. Thank you for your hospitality in all the rush of departure with Kathleen Haggan, I was unable to say goodbye to you personally. With the very best wishes, Val Dalton (Biology teacher) Sian Wauteck (Eckersley)

Thank you for organizing such a lovely day at Holbrook House and at school! It was great to catch up, giggle, and shriek and to see so many familiar faces again. Thanks for all your hard work. Take care Love Anne Hawken (Denman) Thank you so much for organising yesterday. It was a great success and lots of smiles, ooohs and ahhhs going on. To see our year again was truly uplifting although it seemed to go by so quickly... Vanessa Keevil We wanted to thank you and your team for a very happy reunion last Saturday. Seeing the 'make over' to those old buildings was only marginally less riveting than meeting up with so many friends of yesteryear. Quite a challenge too but the labels were a great help. We're looking forward to the arrival of the CD of photographs! Sarah and Alex Thomson Thank you so much for all your hard work in masterminding the Hall School reunion. It was curious to go back there after 40 years and that it was all so familiar (where it hadn't been changed) and it was great to meet up with so many people who'd been there with me. It was a very cheerful occasion so the school cannot have been all that bad! Best wishes, Judy Holder

Just a brief line to say thank you to all three of you for organising such a satisfactory and successful reunion last week. It must have been a great deal of work but your efforts were appreciated by Nancy (I'm writing with the Parker fountain pen her mother gave me for my 21st birthday - the same nib too!) and by myself. Felicity Walker (Davies) and her cousin Nancy Bell (Palmer) It was a really successful day and Penny and I really enjoyed it.thank you so much for all your hard work it could not have been easy. Hopefully catch up soon. Lucy Nigrelli (Schofield) Just a short note to thank you ALL on the committee and especially Mutamba for such a HAPPY day last Saturday. You must have all worked very hard but I do hope you had time to enjoy yourselves as well! I haven't seen Annette Richardson (Downing) for at least 10/15 years so we managed to catch up a little and then I thought I wonder what happened to Ruth Brailey, where were Jane and Judy Glaser, what happened to Sandra and Bridget Levitt etc etc? Old age is catching up on me and the next time I come to an Old Scholars meeting I must catch up and list the questions I want to ask. Thank you so much for all your hard work towards the Hall School Reunion. My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed the day. Julia Waller (Thomas) Thank you all again Bridget Turner (Marklew)
