We proudly present concrete enamel EFC 800 Concrete is one of the most important building materials in the world. Concrete is strong, durable, mould-proof, fire resistant and dampens noise. However, concrete surfaces need to be protected. Concrete breathes just like human skin. Its pores require protection to be able to withstand frequent loads. Concrete enamel EFC 800 provides effective and complete protection. This environmentally-friendly product has been tested by the Technical Research Institute of Sweden with extremely good results. EFC 800 is a water-based, transparent and breathable concrete enamel. The product serves both as dust binder and membrane hardener. It is pigmentable, paintable and can be covered with carpeting. Concrete enamel EFC 800 penetrates into the raw concrete surface and hardens the top layer to a homogenous, semi-gloss surface that will not yellow. The new concrete surface is wear-resistant, easy-to-clean and does not give off dust. Use concrete enamel EFC 800 on a freshly laid concrete floor to prevent it from hardening too quickly, which would result in shrinkage cracks and the concrete drying out. With its membrane-hardening properties, EFC 800 ensures that the concrete dries slowly and eliminates the need to cover the concrete with plastic film or the like. At normal room temperature and ventilation, the product is surface dry after 1-3 hours and the concrete floor is completely ready for use after 7-8 hours.
Protect natural material while being environmentally friendly with EFC 800 Concrete can be considered a pure natural material. It consists of 80 % rock (or ballast, which is sand, stone or gravel), 14 % cement and 6 % water. Of course, you should use an environmentally friendly concrete enamel to protect the surface of the concrete. EFC 800 is a water-based concrete enamel with a mild, weak odour. In short, during application, the concrete enamel has a positive effect on the working environment and the people working with it or in its vicinity. No pungent odour; no corrosive substances. The substances that make up the product have been deemed not to pose a hazard to the environment in the concentrations used. It couldn't be easier to use concrete enamel EFC 800 Once you decide to apply a protective coating of concrete enamel EFC 800 to your concrete floor, simply contact your nearest retailer often a well equipped dealer. Untreated and unpainted/unstained surfaces 1. Clean. Thoroughly vacuum or sweep the floor surfaces undergoing treatment. Remove loose dirt. 2. Treat. The floor treatment can be applied with standard hand tools (soft brush). A low-pressure spray gun is recommended when treating large areas. For best results, the floor should be treated with two coats of concrete enamel EFC 800. 3. Use. The product is surface dry after about 1-3 hours. The floor is completely ready for use after approximately 7-8 hours at normal room temperature and ventilation. Treated and painted/stained surfaces surfaces 1. Remove the old paint. Once the concrete is raw, follow steps 1-3 in the column on the left. A finishing treatment can be applied to an EFC 800 floor with excellent results. You can paint, epoxy, apply filler, glue, etc. All finishing treatments adhere without problem. You can also order concrete enamel EFC 800 in a pigmented version. Select any colour from the NCS scale or choose one of our standard colours (green S3010-G50Y, red S4040-Y90R, grey S4502-Y, blue S3020-B). Tips! Clean the tools in cold water immedeately after use. Treat oil stains with EFC 800. The oil emulsifies and will gradually make its way up and migrate to the top of the floor.
