When installing any switch, please be sure the switch is properly rated, UL Listed, and installed in accordance with local and national codes. Should you require 24/7 lighting operation, omit the switch shown above and hardwire the Hot (Black) and Neutral (White) wires from the control board to the incoming 120/240V AC Feed. Doing so will signal the Control Board to turn the Cab Lights on (referring to the logic outlined above). Do not install the Switch to the Power Supply's AC Feed. Doing so will simulate a power outage and cause the E12E Power Box to enter battery backup mode. 11

Frequently Asked Questions Q: Can I connect the Apeiron LTE+ directly to line voltage? A: No. Connecting the Apeiron LTE+ directly to line voltage or any voltage higher than 24V DC will damage the Fixture and void the warranty. Use i2systems E12E Power Box to convert line voltage to the proper voltage. Q: Are the Apeiron LTE+ Fixtures dimmable? A: Yes. The Apeiron LTE+ includes dimming as a standard feature, providing control from 20% to 100% light output. To adjust the light level, use the knob on the Control Board connected to the Fixture(s) you want to dim, keeping in mind that dimming too low may result in your Cab not meeting Code. Q: Can I load the E12E Power Box to the specified Wattage (45W)? A: Yes. The power supply installed in the E12E Power Box is rated for 60 Watts continuous operation, in which case the 45W specification (up to 9 lights) is already derated. Refer to the E12E Power Box Datasheet for additional details. Q: How do I wire the Apeiron LTE+ to the Power Box? A: Home run each Apeiron LTE+ Fixture to the Power Box using the included 6 ft Connectorized Cable, keeping in mind that some state and local codes require this cable to be installed within conduit. Q: How long will the Apeiron LTE+ operate on Battery Backup? A: Using the E12E Power Box, two (2) Apeiron LTE+ Fixtures will continue to operate upon loss of Line Voltage for a minimum of four (4) hours (provided the batteries are fully charged and in good health). Q: Upon loss of power, will the Cab intensity level change? A: Yes. Upon loss of power only two Apeiron LTE+ Fixtures will remain illuminated. Q: During periods of inactivity, can I power off the Apeiron LTE+ Fixtures without triggering the Battery Backup? A: Yes. By applying and removing 120/240V AC to the AC input into the Control Board as illustrated on page 12, Apeiron LTE+ Fixtures may be turned on and off without triggering Battery Backup. Q: How frequently should I change the E12E Power Box batteries? A: The E12E Power Box s batteries should be changed every 3-5 years. As all batteries over time age and loose capacity, periodically inspect the batteries in accordance with your local code requirements to ensure proper operation. Q: How do I connect a Bell to the Battery Backup? A: The E12E Power Box includes a provision for direct wiring of a 12V, 100mA max Bell and external switch to trigger the Bell. Prolonged operation of the Bell may accelerate the discharge of the Battery when the system is operating in Battery Backup Mode. 12
