www.breadandwineministries.org Understanding The Gift Of Dream Interpretation What is the gift of dream interpretation? Can someone scholastically learn it? How do you receive the gift? The gift of dream interpretation is just like all the other gifts given by God. In order for you to be able to operate in this gift you must seek it and/or receive it from God. You cannot come up with it on your own. People who practice it out of head knowledge will only see bits and peices of the message of the dream. God meant for us all to have some level of understanding concerning our own dreams, but to see the dreams of others clearly takes His wisdom and comes from Him directly. This gift is connected to others gifts, which is why it is not that common or commonly known within the church. Most of the time, when I see an interpretation I do not speak it unless God ordains that I do, for many times the person is not ready to hear it and the dream is for my own understanding of how to help that person. There are also times when no interpretation is given to me. As I do not pry into people's lives, I can assume that there was nothing God wanted for me to do concerning that individual. Sometimes I do not get an interpretation because the person is not ready to hear it and so I appreciate that God will intervene and not give it to me as I really do not wish to anger anyone unneccessarily! This gift also seems most activated when the person asking for interpretation is genuinely seeking an answer, not just the one they want to hear. So keep that in mind if you ask anyone to interpret! God knows your heart. One noteable thing about dreams, is that they are 'tactful' ways of getting us to subconsiously understand the plight of our own lives. If one were to consciously bring to light the meaning of many dreams, the persons who claim they desire an interpretation might slap you heartily! So there is some wisdom to be used and discretion you must possess before you use this gift or you are sure to offend the

brethren. The Source of the Gift Dan. 1:17 As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams. It is God that gives knowledge, skill, and wisdom. It is God that gives gifts and understanding to men. He does it for a reason. It is a tool for the work you have to do and are doing whether in your life or for others. Daniel operated in the gift at a high level and was also very wise. Dan. 5:12 Forasmuch as an excellent spirit, and knowledge, and understanding, interpreting of dreams, and showing of hard sentences, and dissolving of doubts, were found in the same Daniel,... Here we again see a connection. I believe that the gift of dream interpretation comes alive with the gift of wisdom. I also believe that there is a prerequisite for both of these gifts from God and it is an ultimate love of Truth. Everyone I know that operates heavily in these gifts, loves the truth beyond themselves. False Interpretations We have all guessed at what dreams could mean. It is a part of life. Dream interpretation can be somewhat learned and taught as we all have some level of common sense. However, to understand the complete meaning of a dream, you will need God's help and His wisdom. There are many people out there in the world who make 'educated' guesses of dreams. There are courses out there both christian and nonchristian that help

shed some light on dreams. I have yet to see a course that could give you the gift of dream interpretation, as God Himself is the source. I would suggest your time would be better spent seeking it from God, than man. There are people who interpret for a fee, some claim to be christian and some nonchristian. These are just people in the 'flesh' guessing and you will find little help in them or from them. It is my suggestion that you not waste your time with them, but seek the Lord directly. Please realise that if they aren't accessing the Holy Spirit to receive the interpretation they are asking 'another' spirit. This is no different than divining or using a ouiji board! I don't think God would be very pleased by those efforts! What is the basis for false interpretations? Why can't a person interpret correctly? The main hinderance I have seen in dream interpretation is a false perception of reality, truth. If you don't want to see the truth, and instead are looking for your own version of the truth then this is what you will receive...everything you see is tainted by this false perception. It makes dream interpretation nearly impossible! Zech. 10:2 For the idols have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie, and have told false dreams; they comfort in vain:... I have had people who know I have the gift attempt to impress me with their interpretations. But the problem is, that I wouldn't be impressed in the first place as that is not right and would dishonor God. The fact that they sought honor in their interpretation meant they weren't operating in the gift at all, but out of their flesh (demons). They guess as to what it means and pull the message that they want to hear out of the dream and call it from God! It's an ugly sight! Kind of like a wrecked car in car show! It is one thing to do this sportingly to yourself, but when you do that to someone else it becomes a wicked tool of self-importance. You start squashing everyone's elses dreams and calling them 'demonic' and yours are all holy and making you look like a king! It is a very sick and twisted thing to do and I have seen it done

frequently by others. When you see someone who is doing this, please don't pay heed to their interpretations. Just overlook and be patient and kind. Hopefully, soon the Holy Spirit will be able to get through to them on the error of their ways. Advice The best advice I can give you is to seek the gift of wisdom and then dream interpretation. Ask God to give you these gifts and to give you a love of truth. After you have a dream, ask the Holy Spirit to give you the meaning. Many times it will come to you. Do not be anxious to interpret someone else's dreams. Without divine guidance you are meddling in their life. Never do that lightly. A soul is a sacred thing. Always respect what God is doing in that person's life and don't act on anything unless you truly feel an 'okay' from Him. Your Super Computor Your brain is like a super computer. Whoever has access to it can put in info! So who has access to your brain? God, you, and demons? Yes, and, believe it or not, astral projectors and witches or other living people! Lucid dreaming is astral projecting and if someone is lusting after you, I can pretty much guarantee you will feel the effects of it in your sleep state! They are projecting spirits, be it theirs or others, to you. Here are some measure you can take to defend yourself against spiritual intrusions: 1. Before you go to sleep, shut down you pineal gland. Say this before you go to sleep, "In Jesus name I close all entrance or exiting of spirits through my pineal gland."

2. Rebuke and demonic thoughts daily! Do not engage them. 3. Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you before going to sleep and ask the angels to surround you and set a hedge about you. You can actually wrestle demons in spirit form. I have been forced to do this on several occasions. You will find on occassion you can stop a nightmare and attack the demon in your sleep state. They really don't expect this and become quite fearful of doing it again! All contents of this article are copywrited.
