Drill Pipe Hard-facing DURMAT Casing friendly Hard-Facing Wires are specially developed to reduce casing wear and extend the life of tool-joints. With the experience of more than 25 years in producing Hard-facing Wires for all kinds of industrial applications DURUM is offering a wide range of crack-free iron based hard-facing wires. Most wires are Open Arc (no extra shielding gas or flux is required) and some wires can be re-applied on themselves. DURUM understands the requirements of down hole drilling industry and can provide you with custom made wires. Reduced Casing Wear Crack free Application Ease of Field Application Wires Visually crack free Extended Tool Joint Life Cost effective Applied onto internally coated pipes DURMAT Open Hole Non Casing Friendly Hard-Facing Wires Best Tungsten Carbide based Flux Cored Wires for corrosive and hardest abrasive wear attack available on the market. Providing the best protection against wear and corrosion for tools and components running open-hole. Extra hard and wear resistant tungsten carbide in combination with very fine dispensed special carbide providing the highest wear protection available in the industry. DURMAT Open Hole non casing friendly hard-facing wires offering the following criteria s: Highest Tool-Joint protection Visually Non Cracking Non Spalling Can be re-applied on itself Corrosion Resistant DURUM meets today s highest requirements for casing wear materials in the industry.
DURMAT-AS-760 Hard-banding Wire Exceptional drill-pipe protection Unsurpassed casing protection Crack free deposit Low preheat application Easily welded and re-applied DURMAT AS-760 is a unique hard-banding wire developed by DURUM for the oil & gas drilling industry to offer maximum wear protection to both drill-pipe and casing. It contains minute refractory carbides in a highly corrosion resistant Nickel-Chromium matrix. It is applied at low (50 C) preheat which is most beneficial when applying on plastic lined drill-pipe. After service it can be re-applied onto itself without the need to remove worn hard-banding. Successfully tested and in use by a very large Australian gas producer that had been using a well-known American hard-banding material that had failed due to excessive cracking and breaking away from the drill-pipe while downhole. DURMAT AS-760 gave very high casing and drill-pipe wear protection and showed no signs of breaking away from the base material. DURMAT - FD 653 GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS AND APPLICATIONS: DURMAT FD 653 is a tubular wire which produces a CMnSiNiBNb alloyed deposit for semi automatic and fully automatic surfacing. The weld metal has high hardenability and produces hardness up to 63 HRc even with relatively slow cooling rates. Crack resistance is good, provided adequate preheat and interpass temperature are applied, together with slow cooling after welding is completed. DURMAT FD 653 is best suited for parts subjected to abrasion and compressive loads, such as tool - joints, etc. TYPICAL CHEMICAL COMPOSITION OF WELD METAL: C Mn Si Ni B Nb Fe HARDNESS: 60-63 HRc WELDING PARAMETERS: Ø mm Ø inch Amps Voltage 1.6 1/16 180-220 24-26 2.0 5/64 220-250 25-27 2.4 3/32 260-300 25-27 2.8 7/64 300-340 26-28 COILING: Coil "S" = 15 KGs coil "B" = 25 KGs pay off pack = 250 KGs DURMAT - FD 666 DIN EN 14700 GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS: DURMAT FD 666 is a flux core wire for hard facing. The deposit is tough and not sensitive to impact loads. It shows excellent resistance to impact in combination with abrasion.
