Personal Data Privacy Statement and Consent for Applicants 1. Your personal data privacy is important to us and we are committed to safeguarding your personal data that we may possess. Please read this privacy statement carefully as it contains important information about how we will/may collect, use, disclose and process personal data that you provide or that we possess about you. In this document, the term personal data means data, whether true or not, about you where you can be identified either (a) from that data; or (b) from that data and other information to which we have or are likely to have access. 2. In this Personal Data Privacy Statement and Consent document, SAC refers to the Singapore Accountancy Commission, ISCA refers to the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants, candidature refers to the period when you are undergoing a Singapore QP programme with SAC until attainment of the Singapore QP qualification; and the words we, our and us refer to both SAC and ISCA and their successors and assigns. 3. To process deal with and/or manage your application to become a Singapore QP or Foundation Programme Candidate of SAC ( Application ), we will necessarily need to collect, use, disclose and/or process your personal data. Such personal data includes information about you set out in your application forms and documents and any other personal information provided by you or possessed by us. Some examples are your name, identification number, academic status and results, programme, personal contact details, citizenship, medical and disability information, bank account, photograph etc. 4. Your failure to supply certain personal data to us (or if we are not permitted by you to process your personal data), may/would result in us being unable to process, deal with and/or manage your Application including the maintenance of your attained Singapore QP qualification under the Singapore Accountancy Commission Act. Depending on the extent by which you do not permit us to process your personal data or the extent of personal data which you do not provide to us, it may mean that we will not be able to consider and/or process your Application or to accept you as a Singapore QP or Foundation Programme Candidate of SAC; nor to administer the maintenance of your attained Singapore QP qualification under the Singapore Accountancy Commission Act. 5. We will/may collect, use, disclose and/or process your personal data for one or more of the following purposes: (a) (b) (c) considering and/or processing your application to be a Singapore QP or Foundation Programme Candidate of SAC; facilitating, processing, dealing with, administering, managing and/or maintaining your Application as well as your attained Singapore QP qualification under the Singapore Accountancy Commission Act, including but not limited to candidature matters, fees and charges, programmes or courses run by other organisations (whether in or outside Singapore) with whom SAC is collaborating with, determining your suitability for awards/scholarships/grants/placements/internships, determining your suitability for programmes or courses run by other organisations (whether in or outside Singapore) with whom SAC is collaborating with, storage or hosting of your personal data, backing up of your personal data, making of any offer(s) of acceptance to courses in SAC or any other organisation that SAC is collaborating with; facilitating, administering, processing, dealing with and/or managing your application for and/or involvement in any events, seminars and/or your interest or participation in any events, seminars and/or other opportunities that we may make available to applicants or to Singapore QP programme candidates; Page 1 of 8

(d) (e) (f) (g) (h) (i) (j) (k) (l) (m) facilitating, administering, processing, dealing with and/or managing your application(s) for scholarships (whether such award or scholarship is provided by any third party or SAC) and/or financial aid/loans, grants or bursaries, and if successful, administering and/or managing your awards, scholarships and/or financial aid/loans, grants or bursaries; facilitating, administering, processing, dealing with and/or managing your candidature with us including your participation in any courses, events, seminars, examinations or other activities that may be available to our students under the Singapore QP programme, and fees and charges associated with candidature; carrying out your instructions or responding to any enquiry given by (or purported to be given by) you or on your behalf; contacting you or communicating with you via various modes of communication such as phone/voice call, text message and/or fax message, email and/or postal mail for the purposes of administering, dealing with and/or managing your Application, your candidature and/or your attained Singapore QP qualification under the Singapore Accountancy Commission Act, or any other applications you make with SAC (such as those for financial aid) such as but not limited to communicating information to you related to the outcome of your Application, details of interview sessions (if any), fees or payment, bursaries, scholarships and other forms of financial aid including your application(s) for the same. You acknowledge and agree that such communication by us could be by way of the mailing of correspondence, documents or notices to you, which could involve disclosure of certain personal data about you to bring about delivery of the same as well as on the external cover of envelopes/mail packages; carrying out due diligence or other screening activities (including security and background checks) in accordance with legal or regulatory obligations or our risk management procedures that may be required by law or that may have been put in place by us; to prevent or investigate any fraud, unlawful activity or omission or misconduct, whether relating to your Application, your candidature, your attained Singapore QP qualification under the Singapore Accountancy Commission Act or your application for any programme, financial aid or scholarship, or any other matter arising from any of the said applications, and whether or not there is any suspicion of the aforementioned; complying with or as required by any applicable law, governmental or regulatory requirements of any relevant jurisdiction, including meeting the requirements to make disclosure under the requirements of any law binding on us and for the purposes of any guidelines issued by regulatory or other authorities, whether in Singapore or elsewhere, with which we are expected to comply; complying with or as required by any request or direction of any governmental authority; or responding to requests for information from hospitals, embassies, public agencies, ministries, statutory boards or other similar authorities (including but not limited to the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Education, Immigration and Checkpoints Authority, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Manpower, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Social & Family Development and Central Provident Fund Board); dealing with immigration related matters where you are a non-singaporean. In this regard, this includes but is not limited to disclosing to the relevant government authorities details about you for immigration related matters; dealing with, handling and/or conducting disciplinary, security and quality assurance processes, matters and/or arrangements. aforesaid, we wish to bring to your attention that there are surveillance cameras installed throughout the premises of SAC for security reasons and you acknowledge that your personal data will be collected by such cameras and processed by us consequently; (n) (o) (p) (q) (r) performing internal administrative, operational and technology tasks to facilitate, administer or manage your Application, candidature and/or attained Singapore QP qualification under the Singapore Accountancy Commission Act; producing statistics and research for internal and/or statutory reporting and/or recordkeeping requirements and performing SAC policy/process reviews; providing and sending you information, materials and/or documents relating to activities, events, products and/or services administered, provided, managed, conducted and/or promoted by us, that are intended for or are part of the application process and/or to facilitate you becoming and/or being a student of SAC, via (i) postal mail to your postal address(es) and/or electronic transmission to your email address(es) (based on our records that we have of your postal address(es) and email address(es) or any new or amended postal or email address(es) that you may provide us with from time to time) and (ii) via telephone/voice calls, SMS/MMS and/or facsimile to your telephone number(s) (based on our records that we have of your telephone number(s) or any new telephone number(s) that you may provide us with from time to time); administering, facilitating and/or dealing with professional/educational institution rankings or global ranking indices that SAC participates in or wishes to participate in; and conducting research, analysis and development activities (including but not limited to data analytics, surveys and/or profiling) to improve our services and facilities for your benefit, or to improve any of our academic courses or programmes. (collectively, the Purposes ). 6. We may need to disclose your personal data to third parties, whether located within or outside Singapore, for one or more of the above Purposes, as such third parties, would be processing your personal data for one or more of the above Purposes. In this regard, you hereby acknowledge, agree and consent that we may/are permitted to disclose your personal data to such third parties (whether located within or outside Singapore) for one or more of the above Purposes and for the said third parties to subsequently collect, use, disclose and/or process your personal data for one or more of the above Purposes. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing or of paragraph [5], such third parties include: (a) (b) (c) (d) organisations with which we are collaborating with and/or whom we are partnering with for one or more of the Purposes; public and governmental / regulatory authorities, statutory boards and industry associations; any of our agents, contractors or third party service providers who process your personal data on our behalf including but not limited to those which provide administrative or other services to us such as mailing houses, telecommunication companies, manufacturers/suppliers/printers of publications or award medals, plaques, certificates or trophies, data storage centre service providers, backup data service providers, and information technology companies; organisations and/or educational institutions which are involved in exchange programmes and/or joint degrees with us, the provision of products and services relating to your Page 3 of 8

Application or your candidature (if your Application is accepted by SAC), student learning or academic courses, financial aid, scholarships and bursaries; (e) (f) courts and other alternative dispute forums; and third parties which are receiving your personal data for one or more of the Purposes. These provisions are intended to facilitate the provision of products and services in connection with your Application, your candidature and/or your attained Singapore QP qualification under the Singapore Accountancy Commission Act. We will not disclose to a greater extent than is provided and which we determine in good faith to be necessary. 7. You have the right to withdraw your consent given hereunder, whether in part or as a whole. However, your withdrawal of consent could result in certain legal consequences arising from such withdrawal. In this regard, depending on the extent of your withdrawal of consent for us to process your personal data, it may mean that we will not be able to consider or continue processing or administering your Application, your candidature or your Singapore QP qualification. Should you wish to withdraw your consent in part or whole, please write to our Data Protection Officer at 111 Somerset Road, #07-05, TripleOne Somerset, Singapore 238164 and provide details of your withdrawal. 8. Should any of your personal data that you provide us with become inaccurate, such as but not limited to changes in your home address, your contact details etc, please inform us immediately by emailing us at SingaporeQP_exam@isca.org.sg. 9. For the avoidance of doubt, in the event that Singapore personal data protection law permits an organisation such as SAC to collect, use or disclose your personal data without your consent, such permission granted by the law shall continue to apply. 10. MARKETING AND PROMOTIONAL INFORMATION AND MATERIALS 10.1 Processing for Marketing Purpose and Postal Mail and Email Communication for Marketing Purpose SAC intend to, may or will, at their discretion, collect, use, disclose and/or process personal data about you that you had previously provided us, that you now provide us, that you may in future provide SAC with and/or that we possess about you from time to time, for the purpose of : providing you with marketing, advertising and promotional information, materials and/or documents relating to events, products and/or services (including events, products and/or services of third party merchants whom SAC or ISCA may collaborate or tie up with) that SACmay be selling, marketing, offering or promoting, whether such events, products or services exist now or are created in the future (the Marketing Purpose ). In the above regard, SAC intend to, may or will, at their discretion send you such marketing, advertising and promotional information by way of postal mail and/or electronic transmission to your email address(es). SAC may or will, at their discretion disclose personal data about you to their third party service providers or agents, which may be sited in or outside of Singapore, for the above Marketing Purpose; and you also consent to such third party service providers or agents of SAC processing your personal data (including sending you such marketing, advertising and promotional information through the above modes of communication) for the above Marketing Purpose for us. If you wish to opt out of clause 10.1, please indicate this at the end of this document at the section YOUR AGREEMENT AND DECLARATION. If you do not opt out of clause 10.1, this means that clause 10.1 is applicable. 10.2 Processing for Marketing Purpose and Voice, SMS/MMS and Fax Communication for Marketing Purpose SAC intend to, may or will, at their discretion, collect, use, disclose and/or process personal data about you that you had previously provided us, that you now provide us, that you may in future provide SAC with and/or that we possess about you from time to time, for the purpose of : providing you with marketing, advertising and promotional information, materials and/or documents relating to events, products and/or services (including events, products and/or services of third party merchants whom SAC may collaborate or tie up with) that SAC may be selling, marketing, offering or promoting, whether such products or services exist now or are created in the future (i.e. the Marketing Purpose). In the above regard, SAC intends to, may or will, at their discretion send you such marketing, advertising and promotional information to your telephone numbers by way of voice call / phone call, SMS/MMS (text messages) and/or fax as indicated by you at the end of this document at the section YOUR AGREEMENT AND DECLARATION. SAC may or will, at their discretion disclose personal data about you to their third party service providers or agents, which may be sited in or outside of Singapore, for the above Marketing Purpose; and you also consent to such third party service providers or agents of SAC processing your personal data (including sending you such marketing, advertising and promotional information through the above modes of communication) for the above Marketing Purpose for us. If you agree and consent to clause 10.2, please indicate this at the end of this document at the section YOUR AGREEMENT AND DECLARATION. If you do not opt in to clause 10.2, this means that clause 10.2 will not be applicable. Note : if you have not opted in to clause 10.2, SAC reserves their rights and/or will nevertheless be able to send a specified fax message (as defined in the Personal Data Protection (Exemption from Section 43) Order 2013) (the Exemption Order ) and/or a specified text message (as defined in the Exemption Order) (i.e. a marketing fax message or marketing text message) to your Singapore telephone number, on the basis that there is an ongoing relationship between SAC and you, and the purpose of the message is related to the subject of the ongoing relationship, pursuant to the requirements and conditions of the Exemption Order. 11. PUBLICITY AND PROMOTION 11.1 SAC intend to, may or will, at their discretion, collect, use, disclose and/or process your personal data for promotional and publicity purposes as described in this clause 11. 11.2 You hereby agree and consent to SAC: (a) collecting, using, disclosing and/or processing your personal data that you have provided to us and/or that we possess, for the purpose of conducting publicity and/or the development of Page 5 of 8

promotional materials with a view to marketing or promoting SAC and/or their programmes or courses and/or to acquiring students/candidates for SAC s and/or ISCA s programmes or courses; (b) (c) showcasing or marketing your achievements, whether in academia, sport, your professional career or otherwise, as a candidate of SAC or as a Singapore QP qualification holder, such as but not limited to publication of your image and personal data on public media platforms such as the newspaper, the Internet, SAC s and/or ISCA s in-house notice boards, at marketing exhibitions, the radio etc (sub-clauses (a) and (b) here shall be collectively referred to as the Publicity Purpose ); and disclosing personal data about you to SAC s and/or ISCA s third party service providers or agents, which may be sited in or outside of Singapore, for the above Publicity Purpose, as such third party service providers or agents, if engaged by SAC or ISCA would be processing your personal data for SAC for the above Publicity Purpose; and you also consent to such third party service providers or agents of SAC processing your personal data for the above Publicity Purpose for SAC. 11.3 You hereby authorize SAC to videotape and photograph you and you grant SAC a license to use your name, photograph, video images, personal story and information you provide to SAC, and likeness, in SAC related promotional materials. You hereby waive all claims for payment for such use. 11.4 You hereby represent and warrant that you have read and understood the above provisions in this clause. If you wish to opt out of clause 11, please indicate this at the end of this document at the section YOUR AGREEMENT AND DECLARATION. If you do not opt out of clause 11, this means that clause 11 is applicable. 12. PUBLICATION OF EXAMINATION RESULTS TO THE PUBLIC 12.1 We may be publishing your examination results (including your name to identify you with the results) and related information, to the public, as well as on both online and offline platforms such as but not limited to on our website, our newsletter, on public newspapers etc., and you consent to the same. You hereby agree that we may collect, use, disclose and/or process your personal data for the said purpose. If you wish to opt out of clause 12, please indicate this at the end of this document at the section YOUR AGREEMENT AND DECLARATION.
