1. Product and Company Identification Product Name: ACS Material γ- Aluminum oxide Synonyms: Aluminum oxide, Al 2 O 3 CAS NO.: 1344-28-1 Contacting Information: Manufacturer: ACS Material, LLC. Address: 18 Vernon Street, Medford, MA 02155 Phone: (866)-227-0656 Fax: (781)-518-0284 E-Mail: contact@acsmaterial.com 2. Composition/Information on Ingredients Ingredient CAS No Purity Aluminum oxide γ-al 2 O 3 1344-28-1 >99% 101.96 g/mol 3. Hazards Identification EMERGENCY OVERVIEW Appearance: White powder. Caution! May cause mechanical eye and skin irritation. May cause respiratory tract irritation. May cause lung damage. May cause central nervous system effects. Target Organs: Lungs. POTENTIAL HEALTH EFFECTS Eye: Dust may cause mechanical irritation. May cause lacrimation (tearing), blurred vision, and photophobia. May cause chemical conjunctivitis and corneal damage. Skin: Dust causes mechanical irritation. Ingestion: May cause nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and increased salivation. Inhalation: May cause lung damage. Olfactory fatigue may occur. Can produce delayed pulmonary edema. Inhalation of dusts cause severe irritation of the upper respiratory tract, gastrointestinal disturbances, albuminuria, gradual loss of weight, and increasing weakness. Chronic: Chronic inhalation may lead to decreased pulmonary function. ACS Material γ- Aluminum Oxide MSDS www.acsmaterial.com Page 2

4. First Aid Measures Eyes: Flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. Get medical aid. Skin: Flush skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. Get medical aid if irritation develops or persists. Wash clothing before reuse. Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. If victim is conscious and alert, give 2-4 cupfuls of milk or water. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Get medical aid. Inhalation: Remove from exposure and move to fresh air immediately. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Get medical aid. Notes to Physician: Treat symptomatically and supportively. 5. Fire Fighting Measures General Information: As in any fire, wear a self-contained breathing apparatus in pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent), and full protective gear. During a fire, irritating and highly toxic gases may be generated by thermal decomposition or combustion. Will burn if involved in a fire. Extinguishing Media: For large fires, use water spray, fog or regular foam. For small fires, use dry chemical, carbon dioxide, sand, earth, water spray or regular foam. Cool containers with flooding quantities of water until well after fire is out. Flash Point: Not applicable. Autoignition Temperature: Not available. Explosion Limits, Lower: Not available. Upper: Not available. NFPA Rating: (estimated) Health: 1; Flammability: 3; Instability: 0; Personal Protection: E. 6. Accidental Release Measures General Information: Use proper personal protective equipment as indicated in Section 8. Spills/Leaks: Vacuum or sweep up material and place into a suitable disposal container. Scoop up with a nonsparking tool, then place into a suitable container for disposal. Avoid generating dusty conditions. Remove all sources of ignition. 7. Handling and Storage Handling: Wash thoroughly after handling. Use with adequate ventilation. Minimize dust generation and accumulation. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and clothing. Avoid ingestion and inhalation. Activated Carbon, especially when wet, can deplete oxygen from air in enclosed spaces, and dangerously low levels of oxygen may result. Storage: Store in a tightly closed container. Keep from contact with oxidizing materials. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from incompatible substances. ACS Material γ- Aluminum Oxide MSDS www.acsmaterial.com Page 3

8. Exposure Controls, Personal Protection Engineering Controls: Facilities storing or utilizing this material should be equipped with an eyewash facility and a safety shower. Use adequate general or local explosion-proof ventilation to keep airborne levels to acceptable levels. OSHA Vacated PELs: Charcoal, activated: No OSHA Vacated PELs are listed for this chemical. Personal Protective Equipment Eyes: Wear appropriate protective eyeglasses or chemical safety goggles as described by OSHA's eye and face protection regulations in 29 CFR 1910.133 or European Standard EN166. Skin: Wear appropriate gloves to prevent skin exposure. Clothing: Wear appropriate protective clothing to minimize contact with skin. Respirators: Follow the OSHA respirator regulations found in 29 CFR 1910.134 or European Standard EN 149. Use a NIOSH/MSHA or European Standard EN 149 approved respirator if exposure limits are exceeded or if irritation or other symptoms are experienced. 9.
