Flick Anticimex Our History Flick Pest Control was founded in 1918 by W.A. Flick, professional pest exterminator. When the family sold the business in 1986, W. A. Flick & Co. had long been Australia s largest pest control company, and one that was among the largest in the world. Timber pests cause extensive damage to your property Termite Solutions Termites and borers can cause significant structural damage to any buildings constructed of timber and cellulose material. Early detection and preventative inspections carried out on the property can reduce the cost of repairs. Termites are the world s most destructive pest and cause more damage to homes than fire and storms combined. Australians spend around one billion dollars each year on termite treatments and repairs. Subterranean termites live in the ground, often in vast, unseen colonies located under and around buildings. Their main source of food is timber and the wood used in commercial properties provides an attractive (and expensive!) meal. Serious damage can be caused in a matter of months, sometimes even weeks. One termite colony can contain up to a million hungry termites. In some species, the mature queen can produce thousands of eggs a day! This is why minor termite activity can quickly grow into a major infestation. Flick strongly recommends inspections of your property at least annually to identify termite and timber pest activity and potential termite related risks. Early detection will help significantly reduce damage and the cost of repairs. YOUR TECHNICIAN WILL: Inspect all buildings, structures and attachments containing timber and cellulose within the property boundaries; and Inspect timber fences, decks, pergolas, outbuildings, tress and landscape timbers within the property boundaries. Following an inspection, the technician will provide a detailed treatment or prevention program and quotation; which may include recommendations for monitoring, baiting systems, chemical soil treatments and termite colony location and eradication. YOUR TRUSTED SOLUTIONS: Termite & Timber Pest Inspection. Termite Baiting Systems, Chemical Treated Zones and other Termite Treatments as required. All products used on site shall be supported, upon acceptance of proposal, with the applicable Safety Data Sheets, accessible online via our customer portal. All termiticide products used by Flick are approved and registered with the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority. All treatment methods are consistent with the descriptions outlined in the Australian Standards for Treatment of Existing Buildings. 11
