Slide that lever down a bit! Instrumental (piano and kazoos) (KS1 option: repeat v1 This may sound a little strange, instead of v2) As you ll hardly feel the change, Yet we get to save the power, For another day or hour. Do yourself a favour And become a supersaver! The earth will not get weaker! It even works out cheaper! Oh, Down, down RH forefinger in air (as if for a good idea ). RH flat and lower it. So, if we all recycle Ed: And we all turn the power down a bit Mia: Luke: Sarah: We re all helping to save the planet! That s not so hard! We need one more good idea to make it three. Hmm (posing, chins on hands again) (and laughing) A mum & dad (or granny & grandpa) come onto the stage side, make themselves some tea (cold water to be safe), and settle down to watch. 5
Mum: Dad: Mum: Brian: Brian: Sue: Brian: Look, it s those Superkids! I love their shows. Shh, they re thinking about the next song. I ve got an idea but it s a bit wet. What? Water! This song will make you think H 2 O Blues (Brian could sing a solo verse) (KS1 option: repeat v1 H 2 O, H 2 O, instead of v2) Well, here s the news, I ve got the H 2 O blues. H 2 O, H 2 O, Don t be confused, I ve got the H 2 O blues. But there s oceans of water! You d probably think, As you turn on the tap And it runs into the sink. Yes, there s oceans of water! You probably say, As you pull out the plug And it just empties away. H 2 O H 2 O But the ditches are dirty, And glaciers are ice, And the rivers are murky, And sea-salt water s not nice! Yes, a single percent, Is just all that remains, So you know it makes sense, To keep it out of the drains. 6
H 2 O, H 2 O, Maybe everyone ought to Have the H 2 O blues. H 2 O, H 2 O, Will you give serious thought to The H 2 O blues? H 2 O, H 2 O, Maybe everyone ought to Have the H 2 O blues. They pack up & leave the stage, being heard to say... M: Great song! Those Superkids have really made me think. D: Yes. I bet there s lots of ways we can save water. M: Perhaps I ll take a shower tonight instead of a bath. D: And maybe I ll start collecting rainwater to water the garden. Noah: Joy: Alan: Yeah! Su uperkids! That s three great ideas we ve sung about. But there s still something missing An anthem. Yes. (To the audience:) Every good show has one.
