Executive Summary Exordia is a wholly owned and managed PricewaterhouseCoopers company. It is focused on the provision of end-to-end business and IT solutions for our customers. This can be provided on Exordia hardware or by assisting clients in the management of their own infrastructure. The Exordia products and solutions are mainly supplied on a managed outsourced basis, (but we are not restricted to this model) integrating on-line and real world services. FOCUS AREAS: Exordia has two primary focus areas, Dynamics AX implementations and Hosting and Outsourcing of clients technology solutions. Dynamix AX Exordia is the largest Dynamics AX, the Premier ERP system from Microsoft, and responsible for the majority of AX implementations to date in the region. Exordia was an early adopter of the product and is a certified Gold Partner with Microsoft and was recently awarded the prestigious Dynamics Presidents Club award. This is only given to the top 5% of partners globally and we are the only one in South Africa. Exordia has implemented Ax into a wide range of clients, ranging from the Timber industry, mining, manufacturing, clothing and textile, food and catering to distribution company s. Full Outsourcing When businesses grow and diversify the effectiveness and efficiencies within operations become vital. Geographically spread operations can easily be consolidated from a systems point of view onto a homogenous set of solutions. Security Security for our clients is paramount and Exordia use a range of services to ensure that clients systems and data are physically, and logically, as secure as possible. (Secure Socket Layer) protocol standard for secure data transmission. In addition data is transmitted and stored using Citrix thin client technology. Within our hosted environment, best practice security policy and procedures have been implemented and are rigorously maintained to ensure that all client databases and systems, are completely secured from both internal and external unauthorized access. WAN management This is addressed through the use of comprehensive monitoring tools. Monitoring is done right down to user level, per class of traffic that the specific user is using. Extensive rollout of QoS (Quality of Service) is done on all data lines and this is managed from our call centre at Exordia together with Verizon business. QoS is to ensure that core solutions get the bandwidth as required over less critical systems. This is particularly important at peak times. Direct communication channels with Verizon and the Telkom NOC in Pretoria means that clients can continue to focus on their business while Exordia and it s partners manage the data networks and interface to the various companies. Reliability standards. solution. We partner with global partners to provide the most reliable operating environment. Our technology infrastructure is designed to provide triple level redundancy and utilizes industry leading hardware to ensure full high availability performance. The primary Exordia hosting environment is located within the Verizon Business SA data centre in Galo Manor. This centre is designed and built to comply with the rigorous international facilities management Exordia have a duplicated infrastructure at MTN as a total failover Facilities Management Our hosted service delivery includes all facets of the technology chain required to provide the required application. This includes hardware and operating systems on the central systems, disaster recovery management, database administration, security and user administration, anti-virus management and all licensing relevant to the selected applications.
Scalability Our hosted environment was specifically designed by our system engineers, in conjunction with Microsoft, to offer full scalability for our clients and is currently configured to comfortably operate with in excess of 1,000 concurrent users. Our operating model allows our clients to decide at any time how many registered concurrent users they wish to have on the system. Wireless Exordia have implemented its own MTN and Vodacom APN (Access Point Node) which is integrated into its wireless offering. This allows Exordia to provide secure VPN connections via GPRS, Edge, 3G, HSDPA directly to the mobile users. Monitoring of data usage for the clients is also done. In addition we provide a personal log in to the management consol of the system, so users can monitor their individual usage right up to management being able to monitor their entire usage across all the company wireless. This can include Voice as well as data calls made. Central Administration A key feature of our service offering is our single point of contact concept. This means that services, which we manage on your behalf, are accessed through one single Exordia contact point. This may include the base hosting, application provision and support and communications network. Our call center provides the first point of contact for all user queries, support and communication and can be contacted by a national 0860 number, e-mail or the Web. Once a ticket has been logged the call center system tracks the ticket until resolution has been achieved and the user is kept informed throughout the resolution process by e-mail. Exordia also manage one of the biggest hosted Exchange 2003 solutions in the country. Exordia is also the only company certified by Microsoft to run hosted Axapta in SA and also hosts a number of the Microsoft solutions on a pay per use basis for clients. Microsoft has also partnered with Exordia on a number of specialised solution developments for clients. Verizon Exordia s Strategic Partnership with Verizon allows us to provide full managed WAN services as well as the broad offering of products from Verizon. Verizon is a world wide company and has extensive knowledge on WAN management, is a Cisco certified Partner company with extensive resources for providing good solutions. Layer7 Layer 7 has extensive network knowledge and experience which spans a multitude of environments such as Manufacturing, Banking Retail, Medical and Government over many different topologies ranging from LAN (Token Ring to Gigabit) to WAN (ATM, Frame Relay, MPLS to satellite). Layer7.comm security portfolio encompasses services to products to manage Information Lifecycle Management systems. Information Lifecycle Management is comprised of the policies, processes, practices, and tools used to align the business value of information with the most appropriate and cost effective IT infrastructure from the time information is conceived through its final disposition. Accpac Exordia is a certified Accpac partner and hosts the biggest Accpac client world wide on its servers. Accpac provides a number of Accpac services and products from full implementation to consultation on solutions for specific requirements. Isoft This is an internationally listed company which specialises in planned maintenance and fleet maintenance for aircraft and transport companies as well as manufacturing plants. Apply IT This is a company which specialises in implementation of software solutions for companies involved in process manufacturing.
