These services include reconnaissance surveys to obtain preliminary data on the distribution and nature of potential historic properties within a project area; intensive archeological survey to locate prehistoric and historic cultural remains through systematic survey; archeological testing to evaluate the integrity and significance of prehistoric and historic cultural remains; and data recovery to excavate significant cultural remains that cannot be preserved in situ. Christopher Goodwin & Associates, Inc., maintains full laboratory and conservation facilities for the efficient processing and detailed analysis of all items recovered and materials generated as a result of our work. Our laboratory facilities have been audited by the U.S. Army s Mandatory Center of Excellence (MCX), and meet the requirements promulgated in 36 CFR Part 79.
