Introduction Over the last 15 years, and especially within the last 4 to 5, I can t tell you how many times I ve been asked this particular question. What s even more amazing is that people attempting to negotiate debts and settle them on their own, which is how I believe debt settlement should be done, have no clue whatsoever to what the actual answer is. In this Special Report, I will answer that exact question and leave no stone unturned! But first, let s clarify who I am and why you should listen to me: Who Is Lou Rodriguez I am in no way, shape, or form claiming to be the World s foremost authority or expert on credit and finances, or debt settlement for that matter. What I am claiming is to have over 20 plus years of experiences and knowledge in dealing with credit and financial issues as well as creating the Credit Audit & Verification Process that I teach in my Better Credit Blueprint Video Series. Everything I know and have learned about credit comes from immersing myself with consumer protection statutes such as the Fair Credit Reporting Act, from reading hours of testimony and court depositions dealing with consumers and credit bureaus, and from helping hundreds, if not thousands over the last 20 years, overcome their credit issues. As an Amateur Consumer, I invite you to do two things; first, verify that the information I provide throughout this Special Report is accurate and true before taking any of my advice, and secondly, read my blog post titled How Credit Card Debt Settlement Affects Your Credit Report and What You Can Do About It Page 4

The whole reason I wrote this report is because after doing countless hours of research and speaking to many debt and collection professionals, almost every single one had the same opinion; settle your debt first and worry about your credit second! But while some things during the debt settlement process may, or may not be, out of your control, I felt I needed to give you a different and substantiated point so you may know that there is absolutely no reason why shouldn t attempt to manage and minimize the damage to your credit report while attempting do it yourself debt settlement! KEEP THIS IN MIND: Remember; at the end of the day, your number one priority should always be to settle the debt and move on with your credit and financial life, so keep this fact in mind throughout the entire debt settlement process!
