The following document will walk you through HBC domain changes to mail services in order to view mail after March 31, 2014. These setting changes apply to any email client software (i.e. Outlook Outlook Express, Windows Live, Thunderbird, etc) and peripheral devices (i.e. smartphones and tablets). Forward any important messages from your old email to the new before March 31 st and they will be processed through the new server. 3. Outlook Email Settings: 1. Select File à Info à Account Settings 2. If you are using 2007 or earlier select Tools à Account Settings
3. Highlight your email account by clicking once on it, and then select Change. 4. Change the email username to your full email address 5. Click on More Settings 6. Select Outgoing Server tab 7. Check the box that says My server requires authentication
8. Select the Advanced tab 9. Change the incoming server (POP3) from 110 to 995 10. Check the box that says This server requires and encrypted connection (SSL) 11. Change the outgoing server (SMTP) from 25 to 587 12. Click ok 13. Click Next and Finish 14. Close the Account Settings
Android Setup 1. If you do not have another account configured already, you will be prompted to enter your username (full email address) and password, then select Manual setup. **If you have already configured an email account, go to Menu on your device and select Settings. In the upper right hand corner you should have the option to Add Account, select this option. 2. Select the POP option
3. You will be prompted to enter server information, enter the following information: 4. Select whether to delete email messages from the server when they are deleted on your Android. 5. Press Next.
6. You will be prompted to enter your outgoing server settings. Enter the following information: Use secure connection should not be checked Authentication = Auto Verify certificate- should be checked
7. Configure your account options including whether the Android will automatically check for new messages and, if so, how frequently. Note: Having your mobile device automatically check for new email may cause errors, or can cause your email account to become temporarily locked. Then press Next. 8. Give this account a name (optional) and enter the name you wish to have displayed on outgoing messages. Then press Next. 9. Your device will set up the account and begin downloading your new messages.
