The law from your mouth means more to me than large quantities of silver and gold. Let your merciful love console me by your promise to your servant. Show me compassion, that I may live, for your law is my delight. That is why I love your commands more than finest gold, why I rule my life by your precepts, and hate false ways. Your decrees are wonderful indeed; therefore my soul obeys them. The unfolding of your word gives light, and understanding to the simple. Music: by Paul Tate 2013 GIA Publications. page 6 Symbol of Faith (Nicene Creed) I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible. I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven, At the words that follow up to and including and became man, all bow. and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets. I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen. page 7 Wisdom 7:7-11 Liturgy of the Eucharist Wisdom I prayed for prudence for a gift, I pleaded and wisdom came to me. I preferred her to scepter, preferred her to throne, deemed riches as nothing in her sight. I compare no precious gem to her, for to her gold and silver are as sand. Beyond health, I loved her, beyond beauty she is mine. I chose to have her rather than the light. Yet all good things came to me by her side, and countless riches at her hand. I prayed for prudence for a gift, I pleaded and wisdom came to me. I preferred her to scepter, preferred her to throne, deemed riches as nothing in her sight. Copyright 2006 Ken Macek. All rights reserved. Ken Macek Invitation to Prayer Priest: Pray, brethren (brothers and sisters), that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God, the almighty Father. The people rise and reply: People: May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands for the praise and glory of his name, for our good and the good of all his holy Church.

Fields lush with adornment, all Solomon s raiment, still never could rival the splendor therein. (to refrain) 2. Fret not for tomorrow, in joy or in sorrow, Each tiniest sparrow God will not forget. Bright Spirit descending, warm comfort unending peace be not anxious: God cares for you yet. (to refrain) 3. In mansions of heaven, blest life will be given.
