Our Power Supply Systems and their components have fulfilled the complex requirements of international railways for decades now. The consistent utilization of state-of-the-art technologies ensures the high development standard of our devices and a high availability. The aim of modern passenger cars is to offer the greatest possible travel quality to the passengers. Therefore one important requirement is an efficient and reliable Power Supply System. Our single- and multi-voltage Power Supply Systems from 15 kva to 100 kva have a modular and therefore maintenance-friendly construction. All systems are configured individually according to customer request and are adapted to the vehicle. single voltage UIC-system The key element of our Power Supply System is the high-voltage converter. All PINTSCH BAMAG high-voltage converters have a galvanic isolation and generate a stabilized intermediate circuit voltage from the UIC train busbar. All subsequent consumer voltages e. g. for air conditioning, three-phase loads and battery charging are derived hereof. Battery Chargers, Inverters and Converters Battery chargers, inverters and converters from PINTSCH BAMAG with an output power of 0.5 kva to 40 kva are used to supply the vehicle s consumers. Our devices can be used in motor train sets, coaches and locomotives. Approved circuits combined with modern technology form the basis for customized designs. Depending on the requirements, the devices can be supplied from the train bus bar, an intermediate circuit or from an auxiliary inverter and optionally also from a local power supply network at the depot. PINTSCH BAMAG battery chargers are applicable for 24 V, 36 V, 72V, 110 V on-board electrical systems and all battery types. The output voltage regulation and the battery charging characteristic can be easily customized through software parameters as needed or requested by the manufacturer of the battery set e.g. temperature compensated. If needed the charging characteristic can be easily changed by parameters later on. For a high demand on availability, we also offer redundant solutions. Our inverters generate fixed frequency or variable frequency networks with an adjustable voltage vs. frequency characteristic and sinusoidal output voltage. Battery Chargers Power supply components of PINTSCH BAMAG provide low weight, IGBT technology with high switching frequency and efficiency, microprocessor control units and galvanic isolation. Power Supply UIC high-voltage test bench QUALITY is very important to PINTSCH BAMAG. A large number of modern testing equipment is available to ensure consistently high quality of our products. During the development phase, all products go through an extensive type test, which ensures that all requirements are met. For this purpose PINTSCH BAMAG has an accredited EMC laboratory, a climate chamber, an UIC highvoltage test bench and different types of batteries. During the production phase each product has to pass through a comprehensive routine test before it is delivered to our customer. For quality assurance of products in use PINTSCH BAMAG provides UIC high-voltage test benches. These can be used for performance, functional and isolations tests of the vehicle according to the guidelines for railway applications. The single- or multi-voltage test stations provide the corresponding UIC train busbar voltages, which are adjustable within the specified range. All protection, control and measuring equipment are included. The control and diagnosis can be performed computer-based or manual.
