CUSTOMER SELF-SERVE PROCESS (UNITED CONNECT SECUREPAY) The following slides show a step-by-step example of the United Connect Invoice process from your Customer's perspective. The process begins with invoice data uploaded to the United Connect gateway. If the invoice is for an existing customer and the customer already had a credit card on file, the invoice would be automatically paid and the customer (and merchant) sent an email receipt. If this was a new customer or a customer that did not have a credit card on file, the process is shown on the following slides: 1. United Connect gateway sends a Payment Due email to customer. This email is easily customizable by the merchant. 2. Customer clicks imbedded link in email and is brought to the United Connect SecurePAY website. The United Connect SecurePAY website has many options to customize to look like your company image. 3. Customer logins into United Connect SecurePAY and is presented with one or more invoices to pay. 4. Customer enters credit card information and is given the choice to store credit card for future use. 5. CUSTOMER SERVICE PROCESS (MY MERCHANT CONSOLE) The following slides show a step-by-step example of the United Connect Invoice process from the Merchant or Customer Service/ Accounting Team perspective. My Merchant Console is a secure website hosted by United Payment Services and provided to merchants to manage all aspects of their merchant account and United Connect services. One of the functions is an easy to use Customer Payment Information Management system to manage one or more credit cards on file for each of the merchant's customers and use these cards to transact invoice and/or ad hoc payments. As before, the process begins with invoice data uploaded to the United Connect gateway. If the invoice is for an existing customer and the customer already had a credit card on file, the invoice would be automatically paid and the customer (and merchant) sent an email receipt. At any time, the Customer Service/ Accounting team can log into My Merchant Console and: 1. Access customer record of customer to execute invoice payment. 2. View one or more pending/ outstanding invoices due. 3. Execute payment on invoice(s) using credit card on file, adding a new credit card, or using a card for an ad hoc single payment. 4. PCI COMPLIANCE Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance is a set of rigorous standards which are designed to protect credit card data in all its forms.
