These deaths include 17 women and 2 men killed by abusive partners or ex-partners; friends, family members and bystanders killed by abusers; abusers killed by victims, their friends or family, or law enforcement officers; and abuser s suicide deaths following domestic violence homicide or attempted homicide. Woods, 38, stabbed when he intervened in a domestic violence assault. 2/23/2014 Darcy Veeder Jr., 37, killed in a fire set by his girlfriend. 3/28/2014 Fay Marie Allen, 70, shot by her husband who then killed himself. 4/8/2014 Jessica Jones, 25, shot by her boyfriend. 4/12/2014 Allison Midori Leedy, 20, strangled by her ex-boyfriend. 4/21/2014 Jamal Abdul-Malik, 22, stabbed by his housemate s boyfriend when he tried to intervene in a fight. 4/29/2014 Tracy Fergerstrom, 46, stabbed by a man she had been dating. 5/6/2014 Maria Bazan, 35, set on fire by her boyfriend. She died nearly two weeks after the fire as a result of her injuries. 5/17/2014 Julie Johnson, 37, shot by her husband who then killed himself. 5/17/2014 Monique Williams, 29, shot by her ex-boyfriend who then killed himself. 5/23/2014 Denyse Marshall, 60, and Andrew Geissler, 25, killed in an attack by her niece s boyfriend. He had been arrested the day before for assaulting them and released without charges. The girlfriend survived the attack. 6/9/2014 Sandra Luster, 49, shot by her husband who then killed himself. 6/30/2014 Nancy Gardner-Edwards, 45, shot by her boyfriend. 7/3/2014 Renee Brooks, 28, shot by her husband. 7/8/2014 Sheena Henderson, 30, shot by her husband who then killed himself. 7/20/2014 Ruth Castillo-Yanez, 39, stabbed by her ex-husband. 7/30/2014 Brenda Ray, 39, shot by her husband who then killed himself. 8/31/2014 Alan Charpentier, 54, stabbed by his wife. 10/16/2014 Tarrah Danielle Nemetz, 19, shot by her husband. 10/24/2014 Zoë Galasso, 14, Gia Soriano, 14, Shaylee Chuckulnaskit, 14, and Andrew Fryberg, 15, shot by their friend and fellow high school student, after sending threatening messages to his ex-girlfriend. 11/4/2014 Amber Lynn Coplin, 30, strangled and beaten by her boyfriend. 11/11/2014 Romeo Machuca, 41, shot by his girlfriend s husband who then killed himself. 11/24/2014 Thomas Christian Sr., 45, stabbed by his girlfriend s estranged husband. 12/4/2014 Gina Mangulabnan, 48, stabbed by her husband. She died from her wounds two days later.
