Description The BELKI Oil Separator type 211 consists of three main elements: membrane pump, separator tank and a suction unit. The suction unit is mounted on the container whose liquid contents are to be processed by the pump skimmer. The suction unit is connected by a hose to the skimmer s membrane pump via a suction filter. The suction unit is constructed so that it only sucks the surface of the liquid, continually removing impurities on the surface. The membrane pump sucks liquid from the suction unit and pumps it further to the separator tank. The membrane pump has one pump chamber and pumps with the aid of a piston movement which is transferred from a geared motor to the membrane in the pump chamber. Oil and other light fragments are separated in the separator tank and then ducted for collection through the separator tank s oil outlet while the cleaned liquid is ducted back to the liquid container from which it was extracted. 2

Operation Before starting the machine: Check that the power point used is earthed. Check that all hose connections are tight. Check that the suction filter union is firmly tightened. Check that the suction system is correctly mounted in the vessel. Correct use of the machine: The machine is used to separate oil from liquid. The machine is used mainly to clean cutting emulsion on machine tools/washwater, but it can also be used for other process liquids where there are free oils on the surface of the liquid. Contact the supplier if in doubt. Process: The liquid is sucked from the suction system to the separator container, where the oil rises to the surface and passes out to the collection container through the oil outlet. The cleaned liquid passes through the return hose, back to the tank from which the liquid was processed. 8

Installation 01 Suspend the pump skimmer in holes item 02 or let it stand on the 4 feet. Ensure that the pump skimmer stands/is suspended stable and level. 02 Install the suction system item 06 in the tank from which the liquid is to be processed so that the suction system can freely follow the liquid level up and down. 03 Mount the hose between suction system item 06 and suction filter item 05. Take care to ensure that the connections are completely tight. 04 Connect the return hose from neck item 04 back to the tank from which the liquid is to be processed. The hose must be above the liquid in the tank. 05 Connect the hose from oil outlet item 07 to the container into which the oil is to be collected. 06 Connect to 230V with earth and start the pump skimmer. 07 The liquid will now be sucked from the suction system up into the separator tank, where the liquid level will now slowly rise. 08 Remove lid item 01 and wait until the liquid level climbs until it runs back through return neck item 04. If the liquid runs out through oil outlet item 07 before it reaches return neck item 04, adjust coupling item 03. This coupling must be adjusted so that the liquid runs out exactly here when the liquid level is 0.5 to 1 mm. from running out of oil outlet item 07. 09 The pump skimmer will now function optimally, and lid item 01 can be replaced. 10
