ICD-10 Effective October 1, 2015, all claims with DOS after the implementation date will need to be submitted with ICD-10 Claims testing PDRs & electronic remittances Volume testing Completed end-to-end testing with multiple trading partners, including nurses, physician offices, ancillary and hospitals 26

ICD-10 FAQ Why is CMS upgrading to ICD-10? ICD-9 provides limited data about medical conditions and procedures ICD-10 is more specific for describing diagnosis Will my payment change? Payment will continue to be based on CPT codes. You should not experience any change in payment due to ICD-10 27

ICD-10 FAQ Continued Will you allow ICD-9 and ICD-10 codes to be submitted on the same claim? No, ICD-9 and ICD-10 codes on the same claim will not be accepted What happens if I don t switch to ICD-10? Claims that do not use ICD-10 diagnosis and inpatient procedure codes on or after October 1, 2015 will not be processed 28

ICD-10 FAQ continued I need to reprocess a claim submitted with ICD-9 but the DOS was prior to October 1. Do I need to convert it to ICD- 10 now? Diagnosis will still be date of service specific At what point will you require ICD-10 codes for authorizations? We will require ICD-10 codes for pre-authorizations submitted starting October 1, 2015 29

New National Drug Codes (NDC) Policy Effective September 1, 2015: Complete NDC information will be required on all professionally administered drug claims billed to Moda for the Oregon Health Plan (Medicaid), Medicare, and Commercial Members. Required: Not required: Professional office services Inpatient services Home care setting services Outpatient services 33
