Injury Management and Rehabilitation Policy Statement Horizon Power is committed to the provision of effective and pro-active injury management to facilitate where possible, the rehabilitation of workers that have sustained a work related injury or illness and, in certain circumstances, non-work related illness or injury. If a work related injury, illness or non-work related injury occurs, which requires a worker to gradually return to work, we will provide support during the recovery period. We will: offer occupational rehabilitation services where it is considered that this will be able to assist in preparing workers for the earliest return to work; and consult with workers to coordinate and implement an appropriate process to facilitate an efficient and cost effective return to pre-existing duties or suitable alternative duties. Where possible, workers will be encouraged to remain at work on limited or alternative duties. Where this is not possible, injured and ill workers will be encouraged to return to work as soon as possible (subject to medical clearance).
