INTRODUCTION Education encompasses our lives. It is the foundation of our society. Education helps to stimulate our minds and mold inquisitive minds into intellectuals. Higher learning takes the intellect to the next level, providing a deeper understanding of the world around us. We use the education and higher learning resources below to learn more about our world, its education systems, and its benefits of higher learning. With environmental awareness on the rise, so many resources are now available to help transition your school to a greener place. The most important way to move your school towards positive changes for the environment is by educating. Once students and teachers alike become more informed and aware, the necessary changes will be easier to implement and will hold more promise for staying in place. Societies have always sought to educate their people to be productive and creative, and to satisfy their curiosity and aesthetic impulses. This has only happened when people acquired reliable knowledge and think systematically. Education has appeared in many forms, both formalized and informal. Major thinkers have always recognized the educational value of intellectual exploration and of concrete experimentation. Major advances in education occurred throughout the world in the 20th century as school and college curricula have kept students abreast of developments in science and technology. Student admissions are a vital part of any university s running because students are what keep a University alive. The student admission is one of the most important activities within a university as one cannot survive without students. A poor admissions system can mean fewer students being admitted into a university because of mistakes or an overly slow response time and student also feel very nervous after getting admission in bad university due to lack of admission process knowledge. For all things, it is necessary that one get much educated about online admission process and this is only possible when they will choose best system for admission. 1.1 Purpose: The aim of Web Based Admission System is to computerize University admission process for higher education courses. Its basic objectives are to extend their reach to geographically scattered students, reducing time in activities, centralized data handling and paperless admission with reduced manpower. Its other factors are cost cutting, operational efficiency, consist view of data and integration with other institutions. Main challenges are effectively sync internal and external operations in such a manner that job can be finished within time limit and integration with different agencies on an agreed upon common data format. 1.2 Scope: University can approach to the geographically scattered students. Trace all of the University Courses and the seats in each college falls under the University. Common interface on web accessed by everyone. Online admission forms along with online submission and online payment. Central database having all information about candidates, colleges, courses. Results details & verifications of filled forms for eligibility checking through online contact with Universities/Boards. 634

Preparation of merit list for each category and each course. College s information stored in database. On each event all information is stored in central database controlled by authorized persons & online available for candidates. II. BENEFITS OF THE SYSTEM As with most real world activities, there are numerous benefits to using this system for university admissions. The most apparent to this project is the unification of the entire process. Another benefit of a software system is the use of a central database. This database is the basis for all actions in the system and can be trivially updated and used to aid in all of the system s processes, meaning all of the required information is stored in one central location and thus is easily accessible. This is a far more reasonable storage method than a paper-based file system, where the time of traveling to and physically searching the records for the required information could be a burden. Human error could also be a factor in that mistakes could be made in the filing process which would not occur in a well written database system and mistakes or changes on physical records can be messy to correct. Software systems are also much faster at performing certain tasks than humans, meaning that time can be saved performing processes such as sending communication e-mails, creating recommendations and the comparison of applications. This also means that these tasks can be done solely by the system, freeing up those involved to perform more important tasks. III. PRODUCT FEATURES This system having following product features: Admission seekers should be able to search for information about institutes in desired fields. Facilitating the institute management to upload the information about the respective Institute/student after verification by the administrator. The general users can discuss their queries that are answered by the experts. The experience holders can share their views on the forum.
