ALL MODELS REVERSE OSMOSIS WITH NONAIRGAP FAUCET 1. Read all instructions carefully before starting installation. 2. Find the cold water line beneath your sink. The cold water is typically on the right. Shut off the cold water valve. 3. Choose a location to mount the unit. Use the C clip and mounting screw included. a) Consider: All the tubes must reach the attaching points: Blue tubing to the new faucet provided with this unit. Green tubing to the self tapping saddle valve provided with this unit. Black tubing to the drain connector provided with this unit. Yellow tubing to the storage tank provided with this unit. b) Attach the C clip to the side of the cabinet underneath the sink with the screw provided. Locate the C clip about 10 to 12 inches from the front of the cabinet and 12 to 15 inches up from the floor of the cabinet. The Reverse Osmosis module should be placed so it can be easily accessed for filter changes. 4. INSTALL THE FAUCET a) If there is an available hole on the sink that is an ideal location for the faucet. If no hole is available or that location is not desired a separate ½ diameter hole must be drilled. b) Determine the desired location for the new faucet. Mark the center of the hole to be drilled. c) Determine the type of sink material you have: granite, porcelain coated cast iron, enamel coated steel, or stainless steel. d) WARNING: If you have a granite countertop/sink, have your granite installation company drill the hole. e) DRILLING PORCELAIN COATED CAST IRON i) Use 1/8 glass & tile bit to start the hole. This will set the hole so the other drill bits won t skip on the porcelain surface. ii) Use ¼ carbide tip masonry bit (commercial grade) to drill through the porcelain surface. iii) Use ½ carbide tip masonry bit (commercial grade) to drill through the remainder of the porcelain surface. iv) Use ½ titanium bit for drilling through the cast iron. f) DRILLING ENAMEL COATED STEEL i) Use 1/8 glass & tile bit to start the hole. This will set the hole so the other drill bits won t skip on the enamel surface.

ii) iii) iv) Use ¼ carbide tip masonry bit (commercial grade) to drill through the enamel surface. Use ¼ titanium bit for drilling through the steel. Use ½ carbide tip masonry bit (commercial grade) to drill through the enamel surface. v) Use ½ titanium bit for drilling through the steel. g) DRILLING STAINLESS STEEL i) Use 1/8 titanium bit to drill through the steel to provide a pilot hole. ii) Use ½ titanium bit to drill through the stainless steel. h) Place the faucet hardware on the faucet in this order: small black rubber washer, chrome top washer, and large rubber washer. Then insert the faucet assembly into the hole in the sink. i) Place the large steel or large plastic washer, lock washer and hex nut onto the faucet stem from the underneath side of the sink and tighten the hex nut until snug. Check the position of the faucet and make sure the faucet handle is in the desired direction. Finish tightening the hex nut. j) Place the end of the blue tubing through the compression nut and place the nylon/plastic ferrule on the blue tubing with the cone end towards the end of the blue tubing. k) Insert the end of the blue tubing into the faucet stem and push the ferrule and compression nut to the faucet stem and tighten compression nut until snug. This should be tight enough to not leak water but not too tight as to damage the ferrule. 5. INSTALL THE DRAIN CONNECTOR a) Place the drain connector as high as possible on the vertical pipe above the P trap. b) Mark a spot on the vertical pipe through the hole in the drain connector where you will drill a hole in the vertical pipe. c) Move the drain connector away from the mark and using a drill with a ¼ drill bit, drill a hole where the mark was made. WHEN DRILLING THE HOLE, BE CAREFUL TO DRILL THROUGH ONLY ONE SIDE OF THE PIPE. d) Move the drain connector back to the drilled hole and make sure the drilled hole is matched with the hole in the drain connector. Tighten the bolts on the sides of the drain connector so it is secured on the pipe. e) Place the end of the black tubing through the black compression nut provided with the drain connector. f) Insert the end of the black tubing into the male connection on the drain connector and tighten the compression nut until snug. 6. INSTALL THE SELF TAPPING SADDLE VALVE

a) Shut off the cold water supply. b) Place the body of the self tapping saddle valve onto the cold water feed line. c) Tighten the bolts evenly and firmly. The brackets should be parallel. d) Turn the knob on the self tapping saddle valve clockwise until you can t turn it any more. Leave in this position until you are read to turn on the Reverse Osmosis Filtration System. e) Place the end of the green tubing through the compression nut and place the nylon/plastic ferrule on the green tubing with the cone end towards the end of the green tubing. Do Not use the brass ferrule on the green tubing, discard it. f) Insert the end of the green tubing into the opening on the self tapping saddle valve. Push the ferrule and compression nut to the saddle valve and tighten the compression nut until very snug. 7. CONNECT STORAGE TANK TO REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEM a) Apply Teflon tape to the male connection on the top of the tank. Use about 8 to 12 inches of Teflon tape. b) Screw the ball valve onto the male connection on the top of the tank. c) Take the end of the 3 foot yellow tubing and insert this tube into the connection on the ball valve. Tighten the ball valve until very snug. d) Parallel with the compression connection is on. Perpendicular to the compression connection is off. MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS FOR UNDER COUNTER REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEMS 1. Empty the Water Storage once every 1-2 weeks. a. This allows the Membrane to be flushed and extends the life of the Membrane. 2. To empty the tank, push the black lever on the faucet up for continuous flow and leave in this position until there is no longer a steady stream of water coming out of the Reverse Osmosis faucet. 3. After the tank is empty, move the faucet lever in the closed position (horizontal). Now the purified water will refill the water storage tank. TO ATTAIN THE HIGHEST QUALITY OF PURIFIED WATER FROM YOUR REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEM, THE FILTERS SHOULD BE REPLACED; AT LEAST EVERY 6 MONTHS. THIS INCLUDES THE PRE-SEDIMENT FILTER, PRE-CARBON FILTER, AND POST-CARBON FILTER. The purified water from the Reverse Osmosis System should be tested for TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) once a year to measure the performance of the Membrane. This TDS test will indicate the need for the replacement on the membrane. Life Expectancy of Membranes is 2-4 Years; DEPENDENT ON THE INCOMING WATER QUALITY. DISCLAIMER: ARIZONA CHOICE WATER SYSTEMS, LLC IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE YOU MAY CAUSE BY DRILLING HOLES IN SINKS, COUNTERTOPS AND PIPES OR ANY OTHER DAMAGE YOU MAY CAUSE INSTALLING AN ARIZONA CHOICE WATER SYSTEMS, LLC REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEM OR ANY OTHER WATER TREATMENT HARDWARE.

OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR UNDER COUNTER REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEMS STEP 1. TURN THE REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEM ON.. A. Open the valve (Self Tapping Saddle Valve) where the Green tube is connected to the Cold Water supply pipe that feeds cold water to your kitchen faucet. B. Open the cold water valve ½ turn and check for leaks. If there are leaks, turn the water off and tighten fitting(s), etc. as necessary. If there are leaks around the Teflon taped (white tape) joints, fittings will need to be removed, taped and reinserted. C. Open the cold water again and check for leaks, if no leaks open the cold water valve all the way. D. Open the Reverse Osmosis Faucet by flipping the black lever up (for continuous flow). It may take up to 15 minutes for water to come out of the Reverse Osmosis Faucet, and when water does come out it will be a very slow flow or drip. E. The black lever on the Reverse Osmosis Faucet works in two directions. (a) Up for continuous flow. (b) Down for controlled flow. F. With the Reverse Osmosis Faucet lever in the up position let the water drip out of the faucet for 30 minutes. Then close the Faucet and this will allow the Reverse Osmosis Storage Tank to fill with purified water. This may take 4 to 6 hours before tank will supply water for your needs. Your Reverse Osmosis System is now in operation. If there is a ball valve on the tank, it must be in open position; knob in vertical position STEP 2. AIR PRESSURE SETTING IN WATER STORAGE TANK. A. The Reverse Osmosis Water Storage Tank air pressure has been set to 7-8 psi, the water a. Storage tank should have 7-8 psi when the tank is empty of water. B. DO NOT PUT ANY MORE THAN 10psi (air pressure) IN THE (EMPTY) TANK FOR THE BEST PERFORMANCE OF THE REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEM. STEP 3. MAINTENANCE OF REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEM. A. Empty the Water Storage once every 1-2 weeks. This allows the Membrane to be flushed and extends the life of the Membrane. B. To empty the tank, push the black lever on the faucet up for continuous flow and leave In this position until there is no longer a steady stream of water coming out of the Reverse Osmosis faucet. C. After the tank is empty, move the faucet lever in the closed position (horizontal). Now the purified water will refill the water storage tank. STEP 4. IMPORTANT STEP TO ATTAIN THE HIGHEST QUALITY OF PURIFIED WATER FROM YOUR REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEM. A. THE FILTERS SHOULD BE REPLACED AT LEAST EVERY 6 MONTHS. THIS INCLUDES THE PRE-SEDIMENT FILTER, PRE-CARBON FILTER(S) AND POST- CARBON FILTER.. B. The purified water from the Reverse Osmosis System should be tested for TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) once a year to measure the performance of the Membrane. This TDS test will indicate the need for the replacement on the membrane. Normal Life Expectancy of Membranes is 2-4 Years; DEPENDENT ON THE INCOMING WATER QUALITY. DISCLAIMER: ARIZONA CHOICE WATER SYSTEMS, LLC IS NOT RESPONIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE YOU MAY CAUSE BY DRILLING HOLES IN SINKS, COUNTERTOPS AND PIPES OR ANY OTHER DAMAGE YOU MAY CAUSE INSTALLING AN ARIZONA CHOICE WATER SYSTEMS, LLC REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEM OR ANY OTHER WATER TREATMENT HARDWARE.

URGENT! URGENT! URGENT! URGENT! IMPORTANT NOTICE UNDER COUNTER REVERSE OSMOSIS START UP OPERATION! WITH THE RO FAUCET IN THE OPEN POSITION (BLACK LEVER FLIPPED UP) ROCK THE RO MODULE (NOT THE TANK) WITH FILTERS ATTACHED 6 TO 10 TIMES WITH THE TOP DOWN AT A 45 DEGREE ANGLE, THIS IS TO BLEED OR BURP ALL AIR FROM THE REVERSE OSMOSIS UNIT. To identify the Top of the RO Module; this is where one (1) green tube is attached to the Module Membrane Housing. The bottom of the RO Module is where there is one (1) black tube and one (1) yellow tube. VERY IMPORTANT. The Reverse Osmosis Unit will operate erratically and will cycle on and off and the Automatic Shutoff Valve will fail to close if the above procedure is not performed prior to normal operations.
