SYLLABUS Jr. High Girl Bible-Character Quest 2014-2015 Teacher: Mrs. Marjorie Pitts Telephone: 892-8500 Ext. 1041 Email: marjorie.pitts@cincinnatichristian.org Course Description: Character Quest is a two-semesters series of lessons designed for junior high students. The course opens with an introductory chapter on why the issue of character is important. Seventeen character traits are then presented so that students study seventeen traits based on Biblical perspective. The final chapter of the course provides a review and summary. Each character trait is the topic of study for one week during which students engage in a variety of creative experiences including a study of Scripture, definitions and descriptions. Students will study the importance of the trait, the cautions regarding its negative counterpart, and practical applications to everyday living. The author as well as I has one single desire for the students: that they may know the words and works of God. Gaining a true understanding of the nature of God will lead students to that wonderful sense of awe of His magnificent character.
