I. INTRODUCTION Welcome to Managed Care of North America, Inc. (MCNA). We are a Dental Plan for the Texas CHIP Dental Services Program. We are happy to be the dental plan for your child. We have a large network of General Dentists and Specialists to take care of your child s smile. Our dentists will serve as your child s Main Dental Home Dentist (known as Main Dentist ). At MCNA Dental, we care about your child s smile. It is important to us that your child knows how to take good care of their teeth. The first step is to pick a dentist from this Provider Directory to meet your child s dental needs. The dentists in this Provider Directory are contracted with us to give your child dental services. The Directory also tells you which dentist your child can go to when he or she needs special dental care. You can pick from one of our dentists who are located close to where you live or work. You can also pick a dentist that speaks your preferred language. Call Member Services toll-free at 1-855-691-6262 or email us at: info@mcna.net if you would like help in finding a Main Dentist. You can also call this number if your child's current dentist is not listed in this Provider Directory. II. HOW CAN I FIND A MAIN DENTIST? A list of Main Dental Home Dentists (Main Dentists) in your area can be found in this Provider Directory. You can pick any Main Dentist listed in the directory. This directory will also give you facts about each Main Dentist such as: Office location and office hours The languages the office staff and dentist speak If the dentist is accepting new patients The ages the dentist treats What is a Main Dentist? A Main Dentist is the dentist who gives your child services to keep their teeth healthy. This dentist also can fix most teeth problems. Your child s Main Dentist also can send your child to a specialist for teeth problems that are harder to fix, if that kind of treatment is needed. You will have to get a referral from your child s Main Dentist if you choose to take your child to another dentist. You can search for a dentist by: Dentist or office name Type of dentist (Specialty) Male or female dentist The language that the dentist or office speaks Dentists that are accepting new patients Office city Office zip code and more After you pick your child s Main Dentist, call their office to make your child s first dental visit. Remember to take your child s Member ID card when he or she goes to the dentist. Your child s dentist needs their Member ID card to see if he or she can get dental care. (Rural Health Clinic/Federally Qualified Health Center) Yes. Only Rural Health Clinics/Federally Qualified Health Centers (RHC/FQHC) can be your child s Main Dentist.
