1 USE OF THIS DOCUMENT ver1.01 This document summarizes operation procedure on the Customer Portal supporting new GUI for the Enterprise Cloud. Necessary settings may vary depending on usage status of customer including system configuration and software in use, etc. For applications installed by customer, customers need to perform maintenance work, including version upgrade, by own. Please note that we do not respond to questions regarding application installed by customers, provide operation guarantee and usage assistance. Following is the detailed description of items that need to be prepared before using ENTERPRISE CLOUD. Use case (1) Operations from the Customer Portal Items need to be prepared Customer's terminal Customer Portal operates on the browser. For OS, we recommend you using Windows OS. For the console connection function, we recommend using Mozilla Firefox 10 or later. Please note that Windoes8 or later is not supported. Internet connection environment Please prepare the environment for enabling the customer's terminal to connect to Internet. Service Opening Guide Please prepare this guide because this guide provides information for logging into the Customer Portal. (2) Operating the Virtual Server via Internet (SSH and RDP, etc.) Internet connection environment Please prepare the environment for enabling the customer's terminal to connect to Internet. Optional Internet connection service Please apply for optional Internet connection service for establishing connection between vfirewall and Internet. (3) Operating the Virtual Server via VPN (SSH and RDP, etc.) VPN connection environment Please prepare the environment for enabling the customer's terminal to connect to VPN. Only our Arcstar Universal One is available for VPN; therefore apply this service in advance. 1.1.1 Checking the Service Opening Guide We provide the "Service Opening Guide" for subscribed customers. ver1.01 This guide provides information for logging into the Customer Portal and contact information in case of emergency; therefore check this information. Following is the functional outline of each element consisting of this service. Please refer to each description page for details. Connecting devices: Virtual server, vfirewall, vload balancer, service intergonnection gateway Virtual Server Computing Resource Service Computing Resource (Dedicated Equipment) Service Computing resource service is created by allocating resources from the computing resource pool and this service can be used as the virtual dedicated server. This is the virtual server image created by copying the server. Virtual server can be created by using the template. This is the area where is registered in advance and stored by the template used by anyone. Private Catalog Private Catalog Service This is the area in which customer's unique template can be stored. Service Interconnection Gateway On-premises Connection Gateway Service Interconnection Service On-premises Connection Service This service provides the gateway for establishing L3 connection with other services provided by us. 1.1.2 About Procedure for Configuring the Initial Setting This section explains the general procedure from the timing when the Opening Guide is delivered to the time when initial setting is completed upon start of use of ENTERPRISE CLOUD. Procedure may vary depending on customer's subscription status, etc. Customer Portal Ver 2.0 13
1.2 How to Use STEP 1 Log into Customer Portal 1 Log into Customer Portal. Login steps will be different whether customer uses Integrated Customer Portal or not. STEP 2 Create a virtual server 2 Extend the compute resource pool until it reaches the required capacity. Refer to pool Edit pool Create a virtual server on the Customer Portal. STEP 3 Set up network appliance 3 Set up the network appliance device (such as filters and routing information) to access the virtual server. When using vfirewall When using a comprehensive network appliance STEP 4 Operate the virtual server 4 Start up the virtual server and connect to console It will take roughly 30 minutes for guest OS customization for the initial start up. Please do not check the virtual server operation and the guest OS operation during the start up. The guest OS settings within the virtual server can also use the console connection in the Customer Portal. Please have the Customer Portal Ver 2.0 14

2 CUSTOMER PORTAL LOGIN 2.1 Logging in the Customer Portal Logging into Customer Portal will differ when using NTT Communications business portal and individual BHEC portals. For details on how to use business portals, please refer to the Usage Guide (General Users version and Management version) from Help in the business portal site. 2.1.1 When using the business portal 1. When using the business portal for the first time with BHEC The business portal administrator will send an email message to the manager email address. Open the password registration page and register the account information beforehand. 2. When using the business portal for other services provided by our company There will be no messages sent when you start using BHEC. Please ask our business portal manager to create a BHEC management account. 3. Access and log into the business portal site (https://b-portal.ntt.com). 4. Select Bix Hosting Enterprise Cloud from the list of cloud services. You will see individual BHEC portals. 2.1.2 When using the Customer Portal Following is the procedure for logging into the Customer Portal. 1. Input the URL of Customer Portal explained on the Service Opening Guide (https://cloud.portal.ntt.net/) into the browser in use (*). *Please use Mozilla Firefox10 or later. When using the console connection, Mozilla Firefox 11.0 or later operating on Windows is required. Customer Portal Ver 2.0 16
* When operating Mozilla Firefox 30 or later, be sure to set "Always enable plug-in". ver1.01 * Accesses from terminals equipped with Windows 8 or later are not supported.2. Input login ID and password on the Login screen, and then click [1]. 2. Change the password on the folloiwng screen if the password needs to be changed. The list of virtual servers that are operating in which resources are allocated from the Compute Resource Pool on the Manage Compute Resource Pool screen (Virtual Server tab).
