Program What is the SunTrust Rewards program? The SunTrust Rewards program was designed with you in mind. This program lets you earn SunPoints for every qualifying purchase made with your eligible and enrolled SunTrust Visa Rewards Credit Card and Check Card. Your SunPoints can be used for your choice of cash back as a credit to your account, air travel, gift cards/ certificates, merchandise, and so much more. If you have both a SunTrust Check Card and a SunTrust Rewards Credit Card enrolled in the program, we combine your SunPoints for faster and better rewards! What are SunPoints? SunPoints are those points earned for every qualifying purchase made with an eligible and enrolled SunTrust Check and/or Credit Card. In order to earn SunPoints, your SunTrust Check Card must be enrolled in the SunTrust Rewards program and your SunTrust Credit Card must be a rewards program participant. What are qualifying purchases? Only qualifying purchases will earn SunPoints. Check card qualifying purchases must be signature-based purchases, Internet purchases, phone or mail order purchases, or automatic bill payments. Credit card and Check card qualifying purchases do not include balance transfers, convenience checks, payments made for
store value cards such as gift cards and similar cards, wire transfers, money transfers, quasi cash, travelers cheques and similar products that may be converted to cash, cash advances, payment of existing credit card account balances, fees charged on your credit card account, and purchases made when your credit card account or checking account is not in good standing. Am I eligible to participate in the SunTrust Rewards program? To participate in the program, you must reside in the United States, and your SunTrust Credit Card and checking accounts must be in and remain in good standing. What SunTrust cards are eligible for the SunTrust Rewards program? SunTrust Visa Signature with SunTrust Rewards SunTrust Platinum Visa with SunTrust Rewards SunTrust Visa Check Card associated with a consumer checking account Enrollment How do I enroll in the SunTrust Rewards program? When you receive your eligible SunTrust Visa Credit Card, your credit card account is automatically enrolled in the program. To enroll your eligible check card in the program, stop by any of our branches, call 800. SUNTRUST, or visit suntrust.com. Don t wait sign up now and begin earning your SunPoints today! Is there an annual enrollment fee? No. There is no cost to sign up for the program and there is no annual membership fee. Earning SunPoints How do I earn SunPoints? You earn one SunPoint for every $1 you spend on qualifying purchases made with your eligible SunTrust Credit Card. You earn one SunPoint for every $4 you spend on qualifying purchases made with your enrolled SunTrust Check Card. Can I purchase SunPoints? Yes. You can purchase extra SunPoints in 1,000-point increments for $30 per one thousand which will be billed directly to your credit card or checking account. Is there a limit to the number of SunPoints I can earn? No. There is no limit on the number of SunPoints you can earn. You can continue to earn SunPoints throughout the year and carry them forward from one year to the next. How can I check my SunPoints balance? Check your SunPoints online at suntrust.com or call the SunTrust Rewards Call Center at 800.255.7125. Additionally, your credit card billing statement will include the total number of SunPoints earned for credit card purchases made during the current billing cycle. Do my SunPoints expire? Yes. Your SunPoints will expire on the last day of the year, five years from the end of the year in which they were posted to your SunPoints account. For example, SunPoints earned in June 2007 will expire on December 31, 2012. We will give you a 90-day notice prior to the expiration date. This notice will be online and sent to you via email. Can I combine SunPoints from all my eligible SunTrust cards? Yes. Your SunPoints earned on different accounts will be combined automatically if you are the primary owner of those accounts, giving you the opportunity to earn great rewards faster. However, check cards issued under the same account with different card numbers cannot be combined. Redeeming SunPoints When can I begin redeeming my SunPoints? You can begin redeeming your SunPoints for rewards once the SunPoints appear in your SunPoints account balance. Spend your SunPoints when you earn them or save up for something big. What can I get with my SunPoints? The SunTrust Rewards program offers a wide range of reward options, from cash as a credit to your account and gift cards/certificates, to merchandise and air travel. How do the airline travel rewards work? Which airlines participate in the program? Travel is offered on all major airlines with no blackout dates. Earn a round-trip ticket within the continental U.S. for as few as 25,000 SunPoints. What if the requested airline ticket is over the maximum value allowed? You may pay the difference with your SunTrust Credit Card or Check Card and earn additional SunPoints. Will my gift cards/certificates have an expiration date and/or any other restrictions? Each gift card/certificate will have an expiration date and/or other restrictions. Are gift card/certificates transferable? The gift card/certificates are not personalized and may be transferred to anyone you select as a recipient. Rewards Delivery Can I have my rewards shipped to an address other than my account address? Yes. Merchandise and gift card/certificate rewards can be shipped to any address you designate as long as it is a valid street address within the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii (no P.O. boxes or Army Post Office/ Fleet Post Office addresses). How long will it take for my rewards to be shipped? Most rewards can be shipped within 48 hours from the receipt of your order. However, some rewards may take up to eight weeks for delivery. We will email you or send you a postcard if additional time is needed to ship your reward. Are shipping charges included in my gift card/certificate and merchandise order? Yes, standard shipping is included at no additional charge. However, there will be a charge for rush shipping. Customer Service I lost my card. Will I also lose my accumulated SunPoints? No. If your card is lost or stolen, your accumulated SunPoint account balance will be retained and your new account will automatically be enrolled in the program. My SunPoints balance is incorrect. I never received my gift certificate reward. Will I get a replacement for a lost, stolen, or destroyed gift card? SunTrust sends all gift certificate and gift card rewards by First Class Mail, UPS, or other express carrier and we make every effort to deliver rewards within expected timeframes. Once shipped, however, SunTrust is not responsible for any lost, stolen, destroyed, or expired certificates or cards. If your reward has not been received within six weeks from the date of order, please notify SunTrust Rewards at 800.255.7125. My merchandise reward was damaged when I received it. What should I do? Please contact the SunTrust Rewards Call Center at 800.255.7125 for assistance if merchandise you received was damaged or defective. Why have SunPoints been deducted from my account? The number of SunPoints in your account will be reduced by the value of any returns or credits and any qualifying purchase which becomes the subject of a chargeback. Also, transactions made with a lost, canceled, stolen, or fraudulent credit or check card will be deemed as negative SunPoints. Who can I contact if I have additional questions?
