Communications, POD Trailer, JITT, etc were tested. Hurricane Sandy Response June 15, 2012; October 18, 2012; November 14, 2012; Discussion based tool used to evaluate the decision making process of public health leaders in response to a given scenario. This tabletop will explore the operating procedures, local resources and gaps in planning related to a Hepatitis A outbreak. This call down exercise tested GCDHSS ability to notify and get responses from MRC volunteer within a specific time frame. Operation Men at Work was a full scale exercise designed to test RSS capabilities and Emergency Operations Management during a highly pathogenic pandemic event. Public health liaison interacted with county resources to manage the event and RSS operators conducted fixed facility distributions with 6 public and private agencies. to test HERC communications, response to reporters and phone requests based on statewide foodborne illness outbreak. Full Scale Regional POD/Vaccination Operation: SJ POD Gloucester County Department of Health and Senior Services Operation SJ POD was a multijurisdictional, Multiagency regional Full Scale. The purpose of the exercise was November 18, 2010 to test regional capabilities during a public health response requiring prophylactic medication distribution. Thru-put metrics were obtained and resources were challenged through carefully crafted injects. Full Scale MSA Panflu Functional Pick List Full Scale Drive Thru POD Full Scale Operation MaxVax MRC Notification January 7, 2010 November 9, 2009 October 19, 2009 September 3, 2009 August 5, 2009 The MSA PanFlu is a full-scale exercise (FSE) added on to a real world H1N1 pandemic influenza response. It was designed test and evaluate communications between the local and state jurisdictions operating H1N1 flu clinics during the exercise as well as observe and evaluate pandemic influenza clinics in various MSA jurisdictions as part of an effort to share best practices among the MSA and improve POD operations. In accordance with the NJDHSS required exercise, a pick list exercise was conducted. This exercise demonstrated GCDHSS ability to input materials and print reports to be used for picking and packing of SNS supplies. Designed to test thru put rates for a Drive Thru POD. Total vaccines administered over a 2 hour period was then used to estimate thru put for medication distribution. Operation Max Vax was a multi-agency full scale exercise (FSE) designed to test the Gloucester County Department of Health and Senior Services ability to coordinate and train school staff and faculty to run independent PODs for the purposes of vaccinations. Clinic flow was timed and data entry occurred in real time to simulate possible H1N1 clinics. During the Southern Region Hospital Surge in August, the MRC Coordinators were asked to respond to local hospital requests for MRC volunteers to respond to a hypothetical surge event. Following an email and communicator lite notifications, the MRC coordinator responded to the local hospitals with the number of MRC that identified themselves as available. The second component of the OPERATION: Rapid Thru-Put included 150 staff and volunteers working to test 2 different distribution modalities. Both the standard and JEM models of POD Distribution April 24, 2009 distribution were evaluated for thru-put levels and effectiveness with supportive agencies on hand like Sherriff's Officers, RACES Officers, and Community Emergency Response Team members. RSS April 24, 2009 Operation Football Frenzy March 30, 2009 MRC Deployment Special Needs for the Homebound population February 5, 2009 November 19, 2008 Call Down Drill November 12, 2008 This Full Scale tested the RSS capabilities in real time. The RSS site was activated, then in coordination with OEM the First Responder Plan was initiated (12 municipalities participated) and finally a pallet of mock medication was shipped to the POD site. Operation: FOOTBALL FRENZY provided a unique opportunity for multiple agencies to collaborate in the planning and delivery of mass prophylactic medication distribution. All agencies actively engaged in problem solving and information sharing during the tabletop. The tabletop allowed the Gloucester County Prosecutors, Gloucester County Sherriff s Office and local law enforcement to discuss security planning issues and coordinate agency responses. As part of the NJDHSS MRC deployment exercise, Gloucester County conducted a notification exercise for the active MRC members to determine their availability to respond to a hypothetical surge event. Utilizing the existing staff from the Serve A Tray program, GCDHSS demonstrated the capability of the RSS operations by communicating with and distributing medication to the 5 different facilities that distribute meals to the homebound in the county. This communications drill tested GCDHSS's capabilities regarding communication with health department staff as well as partnering agencies and POD facilities. MRC members were given a briefing on current Biological Detection System plans in place for the Bellmawr Regional Post Camden MRC BDS Tabletop March 15th, 2008 Office. Public health response was discussed. MRC members County Department of Health, Medical Reserve had the opportunity to verbally act out their participation in the Corps distribution of antibiotics to the employees. 2007 Influenza POD Activity Fall 2007 Pills in People October 14th, 2006 Conducted both Drive-Thru and Ambulatory Clinic POD's during the fall influenza vaccination campaign. Thru puts were monitored, ICS was implemented, POD sites were utilized. Tested our ability to receive, track, repackage and distribute doxycycline and cipro to 13 municipalities for their first responder prophylaxis.
