Blue Ridge Community and Technical College New Main Campus, Martinsburg, WV Since its founding over 40 years ago, Blue Ridge Community and Technical College has seen continuous growth and increased enrollment. To help meet these needs, the West Virginia Council for Community and Technical College Education hired Hastings+Chivetta, in association with Bastian & Harris Architects, to design a new academic facility for the Martinsburg campus. The three-story building houses the administrative headquarters of the institution as well as classrooms, faculty office suites, science and allied health laboratories, and academic and student support spaces

East Central College Health and Science Building, Union, MO Serving 3,000 students, the Health and Science Building is the first new building on campus in a decades, and consolidates all science and allied health programs. Seven laboratories are dedicated to biology, general chemistry, organic chemistry, genetics/ microbiology, biotechnology and anatomy/physiology, with accompanying prep rooms and instrument rooms. The facility also has general classrooms, academic computer labs, lecture halls, seminar rooms, and offices with adjacent research labs.

Ivy Tech Community College Madison Campus Expansion and Renovation, Madison, IN To meet growing enrollment, Ivy Tech leaders asked Hastings+Chivetta, in association with The Estopinal Group, to program and design a major expansion and renovation of the campus. A two-story addition consisting of two linear academic wings were added to the existing one-story Academic Building. At the center is a new student commons dominated by a skylit rotunda with an adjacent student lounge. New components include a library, classrooms, 170-seat lecture hall and computer labs.

Bainbridge College Student Wellness Center, Bainbridge, GA To meet the demands of the increasing student population on the main campus in Bainbridge, a new Student Wellness Center was constructed, designed by Hastings+Chivetta. There is also an addition to the student center at the academic facility, located at a satellite campus in Blakely. Components include a 3,400-seat gymnasium/convocation center, cardio fitness and weights center, multipurpose rooms, locker rooms, media center with a computer lab and reading room, game room, student lounge, food court, offices and support spaces.

St. Louis Community College Student Center Renovation, St. Louis, MO In addition to addressing upkeep issues in this 40 year old facility, STLCC stakeholders wanted to upgrade the student center to meet the changing needs of students. Hastings+Chivetta Architects was engaged to determine the extent of work necessary and develop phasing strategies to minimize disruption and coincide with budget cycles. In early 2010, the design team began the study process by meeting with campus stakeholders. Primary areas of concern were separation of the food service and teaching kitchens, relocation of the bookstore and development of a better organized FIRST STOP for student admissions.
