Community Work: Volunteer asthma specialist for the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology s The Academy CAN! (Consultant Allergist Network) Pilot Project a project organized to advance quality asthma and allergy care for underserved populations in major US cities. Spent approximately 4-5 hours/month at the Sixteenth St. Clinic, consulting on their asthma patients. Volunteer medical staff at the WI Asthma Camp (Camp WIKIDAS) June 2003 and June 2004, and Elmbrook Church s Kids Kamp August 2003, and August 2004, and ongoing. Volunteer Consultant at the WI Chapter of the American Lung Association and Fight Asthma Milwaukee Coalition, and frequently do talks or participate in their community outreach programs. Clinical Programs Impact: My clinical duties include providing care to patients and their families with allergic and immunologic disorders during my 4 half-day clinics per week, and through in-patient consultations. I established the Children s Hospital of Wisconsin s Gurnee Clinic s Asthma and Allergy Center. As Chief, Section of Allergy at the Zablocki VAMC, I have strived to modernize the Allergy clinic, including utilizing the electronic medical record system. I was awarded one of the CPRS (electronic clinical record) User Appreciation awards in 12/03.
