Library management information system construction of China's starts late, and made certain achievements in the same time, but there are also many problems. In this paper, the author pointed out existing problems of the library management information system in China's current situation and so improving the management of library information system. Keywords: Library, Library management information system (LMIS), Automation. Introduction In order to satisfy the information demand of modern social many-sided, multi-level and many categories, the library is transfer the traditional manual type information service mode to open and automated library service model. And excellent performance, feature-rich library management information system in this transformation plays a very important role. Establish and perfect the management information system, can provide information quickly and accurately, support library operation, management and decision-making, so as to improve the level of library management and service. 1 The Status of Chinese LMIS Construction 1.1 The Definition of LMIS LMIS use modern data equipment and digital model for library management method, the optimum decision-making process provide necessary information and feasibility plan - machine system. It makes full use of management, operations research, database, artificial intelligence and computer science, is the latest achievements of library electronic data processing system of further development. The library management information system has the following characteristics. At first it was a scientific management system. It is also a modern management system; it is not only applied modern data processing equipment, the communication technology and the mathematics model method, but also comprehensive application of modern science and all aspects of the latest achievements. Zhang et al. 1.2 The Construction of Chinese LMIS LMIS construction started in the mid 1970s, was aimed at introduced from abroad single-function system research and improvement of library automation system, started the software programming and trial work. The 1980s, domestic began to strengthen the development of integrated system. Until the mid 1990's library information network construction in China has made great development, C/S mode system emerging, the basic function of LMIS become complete and mature commodity to enter the market. Now we have more than 30 different characteristic LMIS. For example Beijing Wenjin library literature management system, shenzhen library developed and expanded ILAS, jiangsu Huiwen company developed the Libsys2000, etc. the users of these system have covered all over the country's more than 2,000 large, medium and small library, 220 libraries has connected into the national communications network system, began to library network construction, and offer online electronic literature information service for readers, at present Chinese LMIS has already begun to take shape, and to the integration, socialization, internationalization direction, system functions are becoming more and more perfect and diversity. 2 The Technology Realization of LMIS 2.1 The Basic Structure of LMIS LMIS is responsible for collection,storage and management related data of library,help to plan, organize, lead and control management activities. It use computer technology, communication technology and network technology in the library work implements the automation management of all kinds of information resources, including the storage, processing, the digital information identification, description and organization of digital information, allocation and assession the task of librarians, management users, etc. LMIS includes six sub-systems mainly, it is respectively: library plan subsystem, library business management subsystem, library financial management subsystem, library management subsystem of equipment, library personnel management subsystem and library statistics decision subsystem. Each subsystem can operate independently and mutual connection, and belong to a public database logically, can be share data resources fully, to provide internal contact information to satisfy the library management and the general reader needs. 2.2 The Technology Realization of LMIS 2.2.1 From C/S Model to B/S Model LMIS is C/S (Client/Server) mode generally. C/S mode refers to a system application divided into two parts: one part is shared by multiple users of function and information, called server; another part is each user proprietary, called client. B/S mode is the expansion to C/S mode. In this structure, the user interface is working by IE browser. Operation and maintenance is simpler, can realize the different personnel, different locations, with different access (such as LAN, WAN, Internet/Intranet, etc) to visit and operating common data, these is the biggest advantage of the B/S mode. 2.2.2 SOA and J2EE SOA (Service Oriented Architecture), the basic technology of software products and large information system,also is the important support technology of industry construct information infrastructure at home and abroad,promote information resources development and utilization effective methods. For the construction of large-scale, resources reusable, loosely coupled distributed system, SOA provides an open architecture. Most of LMIS is based on UNIX platform currently. Recently, J2EE (Java2 PlatformEnterpriseEdition) is popular. It is suit for Internet on web computing characteristics and production and development. Using component thoughts will business logic from the client and the server, which makes independent of the development, maintenance and use more convenient, distributed and portability stronger. Platform of multi-layer application of high reusability, high security, high reliability and portability implemented. 3 The Existing Problems of Chinese LMIS Construction 3.1 System Structures Is Imperfect People have a narrow understand about LMIS, so limited to the computer use in book processing and circulation, and ignore the functions of computer information statistics and analysis. Complete LMIS should include six sub-systems, namely library plans subsystem, library business management subsystem, library financial management subsystem, library management subsystem of equipment, library personnel management subsystem and library statistics decision subsystem. But now most of the domestic LMIS is library business management subsystem, this result in the powerful features of LMIS, such as data processing, forecasting, planning control, decisionmaking optimization in library management didn't get full play. 3.2 The Network Function of LMIS Is Not Strong With the rapid development of global networking, LMIS need toward networking progressively, network interviews, network borrowing, cataloguing Internet counseling, network retrieval and network information service and other business needs to network as information carrier. In this process, the original network system mainly focuses on the library use, online Internet function is poorer, and the ability of network information processing is weak.

Zhang et al. 3.3 System Development Is Insufficient Advanced, Not Enough Science The traditional LMIS is adopted C/S mode and two layer structures generally, this kind of structure is not strong refractivity truck in management, and network negative aspects of software reuse are also exposed insurmountable defects increasingly. So far, the domestic LMIS is still C/S mode occupied mainstream position. Only Qingdaxinyang GLIS8.0, guangzhoutuchuang Interlib, chongqingyade ADlib2.0 developed B/S model of LMIS, and certain achievements have been made. 4 The Measures to Perfect Chinese LMIS 4.1 Perfecting System Structure Deepen and Expand New Functions Although the working range of six sub-systems is different, the goal is consistent. They are play indispensable role in the library. Domestic library should not only have the business management subsystem, but also should develop and use each subsystem, basic function is core, then expand new functions on this basis, provide better service for customers, realize the sustainable development of library. Library business management subsystem can extent network ordering, intelligent cataloging, network online cataloguing, automatic classification, automatic index, information restructuring; Statistical subsystem can extent arbitrary commands statistics and reports, pie chart, histogram, line graph and other functions. Make the function of the system overall level of quality get improved greatly. The traditional library in the information processing aspect to reach a new height, LMIS must possess strong network interconnection function, can solve a lot of technical problems. Such as Z39.50 online access interface, HTML text interface, relational database interface, multi-media information structure interface, full-text database interface technology, etc. 4.2 Adopts Advanced Technology, Pay Attention to the Needs of Our Clients In the construction, perfecting and operation process of LMIS, continue to adopt new concepts, new technology. In recent years, the experience of LMIS construction shows that advanced technology means higher performance at present and lower maintenance costs in the future. In the comprehensive consideration of the investment risks we should make use of advanced technology to develop LMIS. Using database technology, data mining technology, multimedia technology and other new technology to design the reasonable structure, comprehensive functions, suitable for wide application, conform to the requirements of library and development LMIS. In order to improve the scientific development of LMIS, we must analysis the information needs of users, then design careful. Because LMIS is based on the user's information needs and demands, only scientific analysis, to design of the whole system, develop a corresponding system. SULCMIS Ⅲ has also developed small-sized edition,standard edition and enhanced version, every function module can choose according to need freely. With the development of information technology, library information resources construction and the innovation of related information resource service, its system function structure also changing constantly. Therefore, how to construct and improve LMIS, make the library resource sharing, provide information and information service quickly and efficiently, meeting all kinds of information demand, promoting the socialization of the information service of the library in order to maximize the social benefit and economic benefit in the system construction, need to fumble ceaselessly and summarize unceasingly.
