Make the most of newdesigners.com More and more New Designers visitors use our website to help plan their visit. Make sure you get the most out of your exhibitor zone to give extra exposure to your college and to your graduates. What your web listing will contain: College/ University Name Stand Number Address Tel/ Fax Email (which can be hyper linked to allow visitors to contact you directly) Website address (which can be hyper linked to your website) Contact Name Promotional information on your college/ university and the courses you offer Names and details of graduates showcasing their work on the stand Press releases and publicity information Images of products and artwork that will be on display on your stand Completing your website listing: Once you have received your username and password please follow each step carefully to ensure your listing on the New Designers is complete and approved well before the event. Before you login to your website listing it is best to have all of your information in the right formats and complete. If you wish to update your entry at any time, you can do so by entering your username and password and following these steps. Please be aware some amendments may take up to 5 days to approve.

Step 1 The College Zone Website Visit: http://www.newdesigners.com/collegezone Tip: Please ensure you type this link in as there is no direct link from the main New Designers website to this exclusive College Zone area. Step 2 Logging Onto The College Zone Enter your User Name and Password in boxes provided and click on "enter zone ". You will find your User Name and Password in an email sent to you from New Designers. Tip: Please ensure you type in the User Name and Password exactly as it appears in the email. It may be easiest to cut and paste the User Name and Password directly from the email you received.

Step 3 Complete/Amend Your Contact Details Please click on Contact Details in the menu appearing at the bottom of the page. When you enter the College Zone your contact details will appear. The details will include College name, address, telephone, fax, email, and website. Please read them carefully and complete or amend any fields. Once you are satisfied with the details please click Submit Details at the bottom of the page. Tips: - Your details will not be changed if you do not click on the Submit Details button, so please ensure you complete your changes by clicking on the button. By including your email address and website address visitors to the site will be able to contact you directly. - When you have completed each of your entries and clicked SUBMIT please click on Online Checklist above to return to the main menu.

Step 4 Edit Your Profile To complete your profile, please click on Edit your Profile in the menu appearing at the bottom of the page. You can include a 150-word profile about your company to further promote your presence at New Designers. After completing your information, click Submit at the bottom of the page to complete your profile. Tip: Your profile should not include your contact details, as they will already appear with your listing.

Step 5 Enter Your Logo Upload your company logo to your web-listing. Please note your logo should be: - Saved in JPG, JPEG or GIF format - No wider than 125 pixels wide - 72dpi - RGB colour - Please ensure your file name contains no spaces or special characters (such as _ or &).

Step 6 Complete Your Product Categories To complete the product areas your artists work in, please click on Product Categories in the menu appearing at the bottom of the page. This section allows you to enter the areas that the College work fits into, such as Accessories, Animation, Architecture, Ceramics, Design Management, Fashion, Furniture, Glass, Goldsmithing, Graphics, Illustration, Interactive Media, Interior Design, Jewellery, Lighting, Metalwork, MultiMedia, Product, Silversmithing, Special Effects, Textiles and Theatre Design. Please use the tick boxes to indicate the relevant product areas. Click Submit at the bottom of the page to complete your product areas. Tip: You can enter more then one are so please ensure you mark all relevant areas, as visitors to the New Designers will be able to search for pieces in this way.

Step 7 Portfolio - Uploading Your Images You can upload up to 12 of your images to be displayed in your portfolio. Before you begin, please ensure that your image adheres to the following specifications: Format:.jpeg.jpg or.gif Resolution: 72dpi Image Size: Images will be restricted to 150 x 150 pixels wide File Size: Image should not exceed 500kb Colour: RGB colour scale File Name: Please ensure that your file name does not contain any spaces or special characters e.g. @! To upload an image click on Add new image at the bottom of the page and follow the prompts: - Step 1 - Add the title: Complete the image details: - Title of Project (e.g. Still Life In Blue) - Graduate Name (e.g. John Smith) - Step 2 - Upload Image: Attach an associated image - By clicking on the Browse button you can see the files saved on your own computer. To upload your image, please find where you have saved the image on your own computer, click on the image name and then click on Open. The file name will then appear in the box next to the Browse button. Click upload. - Step 3 - Product Categories: Select the relevant design disciplines you wish to associate with your image - Step 4 - Preview: By clicking on Preview you should be able to view your image on the screen. Then click on Submit for approval and a member of the New Designers Team will approve each image before they go live to ensure they appear correctly. You can also click on, Edit to change any of the image details or Delete to remove the image from your listing. Tip: Please ensure you submit your images for approval otherwise they will not appear on the New Designers website. The approval process may take up to 5 working days.

Step 8 Add a new Press Releases To enter your press releases, please click on Add a new Press Release in the menu appearing at the bottom of the page. Once your have entered the title and date of issue, you can either type in or cut and paste in your full press release. Click Submit at the bottom of the page to complete your product areas. Please note: all press releases appearing on the New Designers website will be subject to approval. Tip: Both journalists and visitors attending the event read press releases. Ensure that your college s latest news is included on your listing. There is also no limit to the number of releases you can post on the website and you are able to amend any posted releases at any time. Step 9 Exhibiting Graduates Click on Exhibiting Graduates in the main menu and you will be able to add graduates that are going to be represented on your stand at the event. Simply click on the letter of the alphabet corresponding to the first letter of their surname. If they are listed, click on the check box next to their name and then click on the Submit button at the bottom of the page. If your artist is not listed click on add graduate under Exhibiting Graduates and type in their first name and their surname. Click on Submit Tip: This section allows visitors to see which graduates your college represents and gain a feel for the work you will be showing. Visitors can also search on the New Designers website on specific graduates so please ensure you list all graduates you are representing.
